Golf Notes 4/7/22 – 10/7/22
Veterans:
The Vets were washed out this week. Tomorrow is the 1st round of the Vets Championships (stroke net). Next week will be the 2nd round. The Beaudesert Vets Open day has been rescheduled to Monday, July 25.
Ladies:
This week will be a stableford competition. This will be the next round of the Consistency Cup. Next week will sponsored by D Kuhnemann playing a 3 club competition.
Sporters:
This week will be sponsored by sponsored FIS Insurance playing a 2 Ball Ambrose 1-9 + 10, 15 & 16 competition. Next week will be sponsored by The Butcher Co playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played the Dover Memorial, sponsored by Dover & Sons playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition. The winner was A Heit with 39 pts, runner up P McNiven with 37 pts, followed by J Browning, R Eacott & G Philp with 36 pts and K Sawtell with 35 pts. The Ladies winner was B Dover with 37 pts, runner up was K Turner with 33 pts. The ball run down went to A Parker, B Beasley, G Parker & N Hughes 34 pts, followed by B Gotke 33 pts and K Milligan & J Grimsey with 32 pts. Pin shots were received by P McNiven on 4/13, J Browning & J Wilson received 8/17 while A Heit received 9/18. The Accurate Drive was won by A Brown. This week will be the Chappy Cup playing a 4 Ball Ambrose competition. Next week will be the 1st round of the Championships playing a stroke competition. This will be the Keith & Sheila Bartholomew Memorial.
Sunday:
Sunday we have a small Social Club teeing off at 7 am. This will be followed by the ladies playing the Coulter Cup. Social play will be available after the ladies have played their 9th hole around midday. Please ring the club to make a booking or for any further details.
