Ladies
Wednesday the ladies was sponsored by The Boonah Pharmacy playing a stroke and putting competition for the monthly medal. The winner was Kris Cook with 72 net, runner up was Jan Edwards with 75 net. Other ladies who played were Margaret Kuhnemann, Jo McAntee, Meryl Tress, Jill Pfingst, Linda Hooke and Jan Baulch. Linda won the putting with 28 putts. Wednesday will be sponsored by Ellen Meagher playing a stableford competition. Friday 21st September Boonah Golf Club will be hosting the Brisbane District for the “Country Day”, Boonah has 2 teams entered so good luck girls for that big day. If there are any ladies out there interested in “Having A Go” please contact the club on 5463 1470 as it is anticipated Friday mornings @ 9.00am will be designated as a “Come and Try” morning. Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by D Webster playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was A Stick with 28 pts, runner up J Gillett with 26 pts. The ball run down went to M O’Reilly & N Hooke 26 pts, followed by G & A Parker and R Cuneo with 24 pts. A Skinner won the pin shot on 4, M Weber received 8 while G Parker received 9. The Dugie dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was won by L Vandenbrink. This week will be sponsored by Scenic Rim Landscaping Supplies playing a stroke 10 – 18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week will be sponsored by J Handley playing a stableford 1- 9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays had 17 players tee off for a stableford front 9 competition. The winner was K Sawtell with 22 pts, runner up P Cooper with 21 pts, followed by J Yates with 20 pts ocb from W Martin. The ball run down continued with S Riley & J Handley with 19 pts. The pinshot was received by L Hooke.
Saturday
Saturday was sponsored by The Vets playing a 4BBB stableford competition. The winners were A Gill & C Perrem with 46 pts, runners up were J McGrath & R Maudsley 45 pts followed by B King & B Perrem with 44 pts. The rundown went to B Else & S Riley and J Worley & R Brooks with 43 pts, T Alchin & B Lawrance and G Parker & W Hall 43 pts and P King & J Handley 42 pts, W Harrison & B Gotke, J Pfingst & K Sawtell and G Philp & M Gnech 41 pts, J Lynch & J Worley 40 pts, B Else & V Riley 38 pts and A Parker & L Blunt and T Britton & M Simmonds 37 pts and D Wall & K Turner 35 pts. Pin Shots were received by A Gill & D Wall on 4/13, J Worley & D Wall received 8/17 while C Perrem received 9/18. The pro pin on 4 is sponsored by Drummond Golf currently held by K Turner with 1.01m.
