Veterans
Monday the Veterans played a stableford competition. The winner with 41 pts was E. Newlove, runner up A. Stick with 38 pts. The run down went to B. Brown & G Sorenson 37 pts, followed by R. Brooks & M. McGarrity 36 pts and G. Henderson & B. Jones with 35 pts. The ntp’s were received by M. McGarrity 4/13, T. Lynch 8/17 while the ladies 8/17 was received by K. Cook. The Encouragement Award went to J. Edwards. The membership draw jackpotted.
Wednesday Sporters
Wednesday the sporters was sponsored by the Boonah Motel. This was the first round of the Championships. The winner with 42&2/3 was G. Eviston, runner up A. Featherstone on a countback from W. Gnech with 46 net. The rundown continued with J. Handley 46&1/3, A. Browning 47, R. Scells 48 net, followed by J. Potter 48&1/3 and J. McGrath 49 net. The ntp’s were received by Mr Skinner on 4, while J. Browning received both 8 & 9. The best gross is currently held by both G. Eviston & J. Browning with 52. Wednesday will be the 2nd round of the Championships sponsored by the Boonah Motel playing a stoke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6. (Wayne Gnech is sponsoring the Best Gross for the Overall Champion). Our AGM and Christmas drinks will follow conclusion of play. The last competition day is the 19th December sponsored by B. Brown playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15.
Friendly Fridays
We had 12 players for the Friendly Fridays. The winner was Z. Eviston with 23 pts, runner up K. Reinholdsson with 21 pts. Next best were G. Eviston with 20 pts and V. Wilson 18 pts. The nearest the pin was received by Z. Eviston. Feel free to come along as numbers are growing, and be early for a 3 pm tee off.
Saturday
Saturday we played the Emergency Services Day. This is always a big day thanks to all who helped in any way to make it a success for the Emergency Services. The winner of the BBQ was M. McGarrity with 47 pts. The A Grade winner was W. Gnech with 42 pts, runner up R. Cuneo 41 pts followed by J. Lynch and P. Manitta with 40 pts. The B Grade winner was R. Eacott 39 pts, runner up M. Christensen 37 pts, followed by J. Comp 36 pts and J. Knight 35 pts. C. Grade was won by M. Simpson 43 pts, runner up W. Hall 41 pts followed by M. Surawski and S. Hughes with 40 pts. The ladies winner was K. Turner with 40 pts, runner up A. Brown 37 pts followed by G. Buganey with 34 pts. The Social winner was J. Tinworth with 73 net followed by S. Lutter with 75 net. This was the play off for the Monthly Mug, the winner being P. Manitta. Nearest the pins were received by A. Bennet 4/13, the ladies D. Wall, 8/17 A. Smith, the ladies K. Turner while 9/18 was received by P. King. The pro pin sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery is currently held by T. Lynch with 161 cm. The best gross for the men was P. King with 75 while Anne Brown received the ladies also with 75. Saturday is our closing day sponsored by F. Johnson, P. Ward, S & L Edwards playing a 2 ball Ambrose. There is a club trophy on the 22nd, this will be a stroke competition.
