Monday Boonah Veterans
Last Monday veterans played a single Stableford event and the winner for the day was Mark Crowther having 37 points and the runner up was Col Shannon having a count back of 36 points following in the rundown were R Brooks with 36 points, R Parnell and V Riley each having 34 points. The ladie NTP on 8/17 was received by K Cook and the mens NTP on 8/17 was received by C Shannon. B Jones received the encouragement award.
Wednesday Sporters
Last week we played a single stroke 10-18+7-9 event for Gary Sorensen’s trophy day. The winner for the day was Bruce May with 44 1/3 nett and the runner up was Ron Scells having a count back of 45 1/3 nett following in the rundown were M Crowther with 45 1/3 nett, D Evans with 46 nett, E Newlove with 46 2/3 nett and A Stick had 47 nett. The NTP on 13 was received by M O’Reilly, 8/17 was received by R Cuneo and 9/18 was received by B May. Bruce May also had the best Gross 51. This week we play a single Stableford 1-9+16-18 event for Joe McGrath’s trophy day and the following week we play a single stroke 10-18 event for Boonah Jewellery and Gifts, see you all then!
Friendly Fridays
The Friday Friendly group played a single Stableford 10-18 event and longtime out of the winners list Bob Jones Champion, carves up the course with 26 points, the runner up was Mick McGarrity having 21 points following in the rundown were V Riley with 18 points and S Mudde had 17 points. Tee off time is for 2.30pm anyone is welcome to play bring a friend along!
Saturday
Last Saturday seen 54 players for Boonah Business Supplies and Fassifern Quality Butchers trophy day, great day had by all once again. The event played was a single stroke monthly medal, A, B & C grade for the men. The A Grade mens winner was Peter King having 71 nett and the runner up on a count back of 72 nett was Paul McNiven, B Grade winner was Michael Gnech with 67 nett and the runner up was Paul Ledlie with 72 nett, C Grade winner was Michael McGarrity with 61 nett and the runner up was Vic Riley with 65 nett following in the rundown were S Edwards with 69 nett, J Buganey with 70 nett, S Bennet, A Browning, B Gotke, S Francis, M Simpson, J Comp and T Britton each had 73 nett and N Toohey and W Draheim each completed the mens rundown with 72 nett. The Ladies winner for the day was Gillian Buganey on a count back of 75 entt and the runner up was K Cook having 75 nett also followed by L Johnson with 79 nett. The mens NTP on 4/13 was won by Murray Simpson and the Ladies NTP on 4/13 was won by Lyn Johnson, 8/17 was won by Fred Johnson and 9/18 was won by John Bonk. This week we play a single Stableford monthly mug event for Boonah Jewellery and Gifts. Saturday 18th is Keith & Sheila Bartholomew Memorial Golf Day playing a single stroke event, Sunday the 19th of June we hold the Foursomes Championships, Saturday the 2nd of July is the Beasley Bash Golf Day playing a single stroke monthly medal A,B & C grade mens & ladies winner, Sunday 3rd of July we hold our mixed foursomes championships, timesheets are available for these events now!
Chookies
Chookies may tee off anytime this Sunday, there are no social clubs this week. The following week we have the Foursomes Championships there is no chookies or social play for this day, thank you.
