Veterans
Monday the Veterans played a stroke competition. The winner was W Martin ocb from runner up V Christensen with 70 net, followed by J Sippel with 71 net ocb. The rundown went to A Lane 71 net, C Shannon, K Rhodes & T Lynch 74 net and L Edwards, J Doherty, D Gittins & V Riley 75 net. Pin shots were received by J Arthur & L Edwards on 4/13 while M Hassan & K Cook received 8/17. The Encouragement Award was received by K Cook. Next week the Vets will play a stableford competition.
Ladies
Last Wednesday 14 girls braved the scorching heat to play a stableford competition for our opening day of the 2017 season. It was good to see Juleen Sippel out on the fairway again and we welcomed 3 new ladies, Karen Christensen, Ellen Maegher and Nicki Mulligan. Stacey Edwards, a visitor from Coolangatta Tweed won the day with a good score of 36 points. Runner-up was Ellen with 34 points then Juleen, Karen and Jo McAntee all had 31 followed by Anne Brown and Meryl Tress with 30 points and these girls all got a ball in the run down. Meryl won nearest the pin on 1/10 and also 8/17 and Jo was closest on 4/13. Next week is sponsored by Boonah Florist so please come and support our sponsor of the day. Sporters
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by J Gillett playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15. The winner was A Featherstone with 30 pts, runner up D Forsyth with 28 pts ocb. The run down went to M Maudsley 28 pts, R Wilkie & L Blunt 27 pts, L Vandenbrink 26 pts followed by B Beasley 25 pts and G Parker & W Hall 24 pts. Pin shots were received by G Parker on 4, M Hassan received 8 while D Forsyth received 9. The Dugandan Dice sponsored by Dugandan Hotel was received by R Scells. Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays had 15 players tee of playing a 2 ball Ambrose competition. The winners were B May & L Rhodes 29½, runners up were R Fitzgerald & C Shannon 30¾. The run down went to J Lynch & J McAntee 31 net, followed by J Handley & R Brooks 31¼ and K Rhodes & D May 31½. The pin shot was received by S Edwards.
Saturday
Saturday was sponsored by Boonah Real Estate playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. The A Grade winner was A Gill with 70 net, runner up P Manitta ocb from C Perrem with 71 net. B Grade winner was J Comp with 65 net, runner up J McGrath ocb from L Blunt with 69 net. C Grade winner & monthly medal winner was T Britton with 61 net, runner up R Brooks 65 net followed by M Simpson 71 net. The Ladies winner was J McAntee with 71 net, runner up A Brown 74 net ocb. The ball run down went to K Wilson 71 net, J Handley & J Buganey 73 net and T Lynch, S O’Connell, B Philp, C Shannon, D Gittins, D Ryan, M Surawski and A Leary 74 net. Pin shots were on all holes. J Harris received both 1/10 and 7/16, K Wilson received both 2/11 & 5/14, 3/12 was received by C Perrem, J McGrath & A Brown received 4/13, A Gill received 6/15, A Hertweck & A Brown received 8/17, while P Manitta received 9/18.
