Veterans:
Monday the Veterans played a stroke competition, for the 2nd round of their championships. The winner was R Holland with 68 net, runner up E Meagher with 69 net. The run down went to M Hassan, D Forsyth & A Brown 69 net, N Casey, R Stinson & K Cook 72 net and M Maynard, S Dennis & G Philp 74 net. Pin shots went to M Hassan & G Philp while E Meagher & M Maynard received the ladies. The Vets Champions are N Casey 150 net & E Meagher 146 net. The runners up were M Hassan & K Cook. The Encouragement Award went to W Martin, while the Membership Draw was won by E Windolf. The best gross for the day was S Dennis with 82 off the stick. Next week will be a single stableford competition. The Veterans Open Day will be held on the Monday 24th August.
Ladies:
Last week we played a two ball ambrose and this was won by Di Kuhnemann and Juleen Sippel with 67¾, the runners up were Anne Brown and Jo McAntee with 68¾. Other scores were Ellen Meagher and Anna Tomlinson, Nicki Mulligan and Barb Hamilton 71, Kris Cook and Vicki Bird 71¾, Maureen Maynard and Jan Edwards 73¾, Marg Kuhnemann and Bernice Dover 76½. Next week is a monthly medal stroke and putting for Annette Geiger Memorial and Saturday 15th is Lex and Kath Forsyth Memorial Day

Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by M Gray & K Kirgis playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was R Scells ocb from runner up W Maudsley with 27 pts. The ball run down went to W Hall 26 pts and B Davey & M Hassan with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by R Fitzgerald on 4, F Johnson received 8, while R Cuneo received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was B Davey. This week will be sponsored by David Woolgar for the Wally Woolgar Trophy. Saturday we played a single stroke/monthly medal competition for the 1st day of The Darvall Cup. The daily competition was sponsored by Drummond Golf. The winner/monthly medal winner was G Philp with 68 net, runner up C Perrem ocb from B Davey with 70 net. The Ladies winner was K Turner with 75 net, runner up, J Baulch with 76 net. The ball run down went to J Gurney & G Lutter 71 net, B May 72 net, B Parker 73 net, followed by L Blunt, W Gnech & K Sawtell 74 net, K Milligan, M O’Reilly, R Eacott, P Gerhardt, M Simmonds & D Forsyth 76 net. Pin shots were received by M Tress & W Bird on 4/13, N Mulligan & P Leath received 8/17 while J Browning received 9/18. The Accurate Drive was won by S Hughes. Sunday was the final day of the Darvall Cup playing another stroke round. The winner was M Simmonds with 73 net, runner up G Lutter with 75 net. The Ladies winner was E Meagher ocb from runner up J McAntee with 81 net. The ball run down went to P Gerhardt 76 net, D Smith & B Lawrance 77 net, M Gnech, T Alchin & P Leath 78 net and J Browning, S Bailcy & R Brooks with 81 net. Pin Shots were received by J McAntee & P Gerhardt on 4/12, Z Eviston & R Humphrey received 8/17 while L Blunt received 9/18 and the Accurate Drive. The Darvall Cup Winners for 2020 are G Lutter & J McAntee who won in a playoff. Thanks to Richard Darvall for your continued support. This Sunday we have a Social club using all the buggies.
