Veterans: A field of about 70, including 12 players from Boonah, competed in the Beaudesert Vets Open Day. Among the prize winners were Graeme Hunt (Ntp 2) and Terry Lynch (Ntp 15). D Forsyth (32 pts) was the top score for Boonah. The Vets will have another chance at the challenging Beaudesert layout when the Fassifern Day is held there in a month’s time. This week and next week will be a stableford competitions.
Ladies: Monthly medal for June was won by the consistent Jill Pfingst with a net 70. Runner up was Anne Brown 75, Vicki Brd 77, Maureen Maynard 78, Marg Kuhnemann 79, Kris Cook 83, Juleen Sippel 84, Jo McAntee 86, Ellen Meagher 88 and Jan Baulch 89. Juleen won the best putting with 27, Jill and Jan won the pin shots.
