Monday Boonah Veterans
Last Monday seen 47 players for the Boonah Vets Open Day. For the men, the winner was P Gall with 43 Points and the runner-up being R Harriman with 42 points. C Greet got the best front nine with 24 points and the best back nine went to J Lahey on a count back with 23 point. The NTP on 4/13 went to J Huisman and 8/17 was received by J Potter. The Ladies winner for the day was N Zagami with 33 points on a count back and the runner-up was A Brown with 33 points. The best front nine went to A Brown with 16 points and the best back nine went to N Zagami with 21 points. P Fourte received the NTP on 4/13 and 8/17 was received by A Brown. The Mystery Drive went to A Henderson.
Wednesday Sporters
Last Wednesday seen Sel Pfeffer hold a 2 Ball Ambrose 1-9+16-18 event for his trophy day, the winners being Bruce May and Steve Edwards having a combined score of 44 ¼ and the runners up had a combined score of 45 ¾ following in the rundown were J Potter and L Roberts with 46, A Featherstone and L Vandenbrink with 46 ¼ , B Davey and G Sorensnen with 46 ¼ and B Hutchinson and M McGarrity with 47 ¾ . The NTP on number 4 was received by L Roberts, 8/17 was received by A Featherstone and 9/18 was received by G Parker. This week we play a single Stableford 10-18+7-9 event for Scott Bennett’s trophy day and the following week we play a single Stableford 1-9+16-18 event for Don Webster’s trophy day, see you all then!
Friendly Fridays
Last Friday afternoon seen 14 players for a Stroke 10-18 event and the winner for the afternoon was Terry Lynch with 33 Nett and the runner up was Arthur Featherstone with 34 Nett following in the rundown were V Riley having 35 Nett, C Shannon and C Greet each having 37 Nett and R Brooks, S Mudde and M Leary each finishing up with 38 Nett. Tee off time is for 2.30pm. See you all then!
Saturday
We had 41 golfers play a single Stableford monthly medal event for K and L Forsyth’s Memorial Golf Day, the overall winner for the day was Col Shannon having 63 Nett, Mens A Grade winner was W Gnech with 70 Nett, B Grade winner was G Benstead with 68 Nett, C Grade winner was J Gillett with 73 Nett following in the rundown were M Gnech with 69 Nett, A Featherstone with 70 Nett, A Bennett and J McGrath had 71 Nett, P King had 72 Nett and completing the rundown with 73 Nett each were J Worley, A Bell, J Bonk and S Edwards. The ladies winner for the day was D Wall with 72 Nett and the runner up was L Edwards with 74 Nett. The ladies NTP on 4/13 was received by L Humphrey, mens 4/13 was received by A Bennett, 8/17 was received by A Featherstone and 9/18 was received by J Lynch. Our weekly voucher winner was J Buganey. Anyone who plays in the Saturday comp is eligible to win a $25 lucky draw voucher drawn at presentation, you do not have to be present to win this. This Saturday we play for Aeromarine Trophy Day playing a single Stableford monthly mug event and the following week we have the Ambulance Open Day also a single Stableford event followed by Lou Vandenbrinks Trophy Day being a single stroke event. Chookies may tee off anytime there are no social clubs in the morning, though the course will be closed from 1pm onwards due to a social group having a shotgun start.
