Veterans: Monday the Veterans played the Fassisfern Day playing a stableford competition. The winner was A Stick ocb from runner up P De Beus, D Forsyth & D White with 39 pts. The ball run down continued with R Stinson 38 pts, A Swift & G Cowan 37 pts followed by K Kirgis, G Philp, M Fitzpatrick, K Rhodes & N Casey with 36 pts. The ladies winner was E Meagher ocb from runner up C Van Daalen with 37 pts. The ball run down went to L Hooke 35 pts, K Cook & M May 32 pts and M Maynard 31 pts. Pin Shots were received by K Rhodes, T Lynch & G Hunt while E Meagher, L Bobermien & C Van Daalen received the ladies. Tomorrow and next week will be a stableford competitions.
Ladies: The Medal of Medals which is an honor board event always sponsored by Beryl Podlich, was played last Wednesday and our lowest handicapper, Jo McAntee was the winner with a 72 net. We thank Beryl for her continued support and congratulations Jo on some good golf during the year. Others in the play off were Jill Pfingst 74, Linda Hooke 77, Marg Kuhnemann 83, Jan Edwards 90 and Anna Tomlinson 91. The rest of the players for the day played for a club voucher and with the brilliant score of 62 net, our winner was Jenny Briant. This will be the best net for the year and check your handicap Jenny. Others were Anne Brown 71, Maureen Maynard 75, Linda Edwards 78, Nicki Mulligan 79, Kris Cook 80, Juleen Sippel 83. Barb Hamilton has returned her final card for her handicap. Kris and Jo won the pin shots and Anne the money line. Wednesday is our final competition until we begin our summer 9 hole competitions. November 13th is our Christmas lunch and a reminder our final monthly meeting and AGM will be held on Wednesday 27th. Good golfing.
