Golf Notes 27/5/24 – 2/6/24
Veterans:
The Veterans played a single stableford competition. The winner was M Gnech with 40 pts, runner up was W Maudsley with 38 pts. The ball run down went J Gurney 37 pts, G Parker 36 pts with an Eagle on the 9th hole, T Roebig 34 pts and W Hill & R Humphrey with 33 pts. Pin shots were received by R Humphrey, J Gurney & G Parker while D Wall & K Turner received the ladies. The Members Draw jackpotted while D Stanfield received the Encouragement Award. Next week will be a single stableford competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies had 8 players play a single stableford competition, sponsored by Moogerah Dam Café. The winner was D Marshall ocb from runner up B Dover with 38 pts. Pin shots were received by B Dover & D Marshall. This week will be a single stroke/monthly medal competition, for a club trophy. Next week will be a single stableford competition for the 4th round of the Consistency Cup.
Sporters:
Wednesday we had 37 Sporters play a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition, kindly sponsored by J McGrath. The winner was J Strutt with 31 pts, runner up was S Lutter with 28 pts. The run down went to W Lovett 27 pts, M Wyvill & B Beasley 26 pts followed by M O’Reilly, K Rhodes & J Picton 25 pts and G Benstead, S Fahey & G Searle 24 pts. Pin shots were received A Skinner on 4, K Rhodes received 8 while B Beasley received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was K Rhodes in a toss off. This week will be sponsored by S Fahey playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week will be sponsored by R Scells for the Kalbar Community Bank, playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played the Beasley Bash playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition, sponsored by Boonah Panel Repairs. This was the 4th round of the Claret Jug Challenge. The A Grade winner & monthly medal winner was D Bass with 65 net (this was a 66 off the stick for Don), runner up was B May with 70 net, followed by A Heit & S Lutter with 72 net. B Grade winner was J Sanderson with 69 net, runner up was C Jorgenson with 71 net, followed by I Pocock & J McGrath with 72 net. C Grade winner was J Miles with 67 net, runner up was G Grimsey 68 net followed by D Stanfield 70 net and T Roebig 74 net. The Ladies winner was S Reid with 72 net, runner up was J Pfingst with 73 net. The rundown went to P McNiven 72 net, M Herrington & T Reid Pocock 73 net, followed by K Sawtell, J Browning, B Sampson, N Mulligan, A Leary & M Gnech with 74 net. Pin shots were received by D Bass on 1/10, S Shipton received 2/11, K Sawtell received 3/12, I Pocock & A Leary received 4/13, S Lutter received 5/14, B May received 6/15, J Miles received 7/16, J McGrath received 8/17 while S Lutter received 9/18. The Long Drive was received by W Maudsley. This week will be The Fassifern Bushrangers Open Day. There are only a few timeslots left.
