Monday/Tuesday: We played a stableford competition. The winner was K Rhodes with 42 pts, runner up C Petrohilos with 38 pts. The Ball run down went to P Leath 36 pts and K Kirgis, G Philp & W Martin 35 pts.
Wednesday:
Ladies: Thirty-eight points was the winning score for Linda Hooke to win the trophy donated by Boonah Hair Shine. The runner-up was Ellen Meagher with 36 points. Other scores were Kris Cook 33, Jo McAntree 31, Jan Edwards 29, Maureen Maynard 28, Jan Baulch 27, Marg Kuhnemann 26, Vicki Bird and Di Kuhnemann 25, Nicki Mulligan 23, Anna Tomlinson 21, Juleen Sippel 18, Barb Hamilton 17. The pin shots were won by Ellen on 4/13 and Jo on 8/17, the accuracy shot was won by Linda Hooke. May 13th is a stableford for Jo McAntees trophy, and third round of the consistency cup. The championships scheduled for May have been postponed to September. The ladies foursomes championships will be held on Sunday 30th June. So get yourself a partner and get in this competition. It was interesting finding recipe books made up years ago by members of the club and reading the names of the people who put the recipes in some of whom have now passed away. Good golfing everyone from Birdie.
9 Hole Competition: Wednesday a stableford back 9 competition was played, with the winner being R Cuneo with 22 pts, runner up B Brown with 20 pts. The rundown went to B Davey 18 pts and M O’Reilly & D Forsyth 17 pts.
Thursday/Friday: The 18 hole competition winner was R Higgs, runner up W Gnech. The 9 hole stroke competition was won by E Meagher with 37 net, followed by B May & N Hooke 38 net.
Saturday: Saturday we played a single stroke/monthly medal competition. This was a club trophy. The winner was W Bird wit 69 net, runner up R Brooks ocb from S Fahey with 71 net. The Ladies winner was K Turner 73 net, runner up S McKenzie with 74 net. The ball run down continued with S Francis & G Parker 72 net, T Britton 73 net, B Freiberg 74 net, M O’Reilly & J Baulch 75 net followed by B May, B Lawrance, D Forsyth, E Meagher & W Hill 76 net, M Schubring, R Philp, J Browning, P Dadds, C Wilson & W Brantjes 77 net and R Anderson, H Perrem, K Stirling, B Gotke, J McGrath, S Grace & A Parker 78 net. No pin shots or pro pins due to the caronavirus. The Championships are tentively booked for September 19th, 26th and the 3rd & 4th October.
Sunday: Social play will be available. Please ring the club to make a booking as we have strict regulations of play in leiu of the caronavirus.
