Sporters
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by Dover & Sons for the final round of the Championships. The winner was R Fitzgerald 44 net, runner up A Edwards 45 net. The A Grade Champion is B May, B Grade Champion is S Edwards while R Fitzgerald is the C Grade Champion. D Forsyth won the ham thanks to Arthur Hertweck while J Browning won the best gross round sponsored by Wayne Gnech. This week will be sponsored by B Brown playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. This will be followed by the Sporters AGM and Christmas drinks.
Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays had 23 players tee off playing a stroke front 9 competition for Big Money Day. The winner was M Hassan with 31 net, runner up R Eacott 32 net ocb from Z Mayne. The ball run down went to J Browning & G Miller 33 net, L Hooke & K Kirgis 34 net followed by L Rhodes, T Alchin,35 net and A Brown, N Hooke, E Meagher & J Sippel 36 net. The best gross for the day was received by J Browning with 37 off the stick. The pin shots were received by L Hooke, J Browning & R Eacott, while V Christensen received the NAGA.
Saturday
Saturday we played a single stroke/monthly medal playoff sponsored by G & Z Eviston, W Gnech, J Browning & M Dickson. The A Grade winner was G Parker with 66 net, runner up A Sunley with 67 net. B Grade winner was S Francis with 67 net, runner up M Simmonds with 69 net ocb. C Grade winner was T Richardson with 74 net runner up R Harrison with 75 net. The ladies winner was D Wall with 71 net, runner up was J Pfingst with 73 net. The rundown went to B King & B Philp 69 net, V Christensen, A Hertweck & R Brooks 70 net, followed by M Frohmuller 71 net, I Browning, R Lovell, B Beasley, & W Harrison 72 net, B May, K McQuilty, G Philp, G Eviston, G Balharry, W Martin, D Forsyth 74 net and R Humphrey 75 net. Pin Shots were on all holes. B Beasley received both 1/10 & 2/11, M Frohmuller received 3/12, G Parker & D Wall received 4/13, J McAntee received 5/14, D Wall received 6/15, G Balharry received 7/16, M Frohmuller & D Wall received 8/17 and B King received 9/18. The pro pin on 4 is sponsored by Drummond Golf and currently held by G Parker with 2.22 m. The pro pin on 17 is sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery. The Accurate Drive was received by D Mortimer. This week will be sponsored by J McGrath, J Handley, P King & R Eacott playing a stableford/monthly mug playoff. If you have won a mug during the year you will be in the play off. Sunday
Sunday we played the VW Scramble. This was a 4 person Ambrose competition. The winners were P McNiven, A Parker, S Richardson & M Acutt with 57.5. Runners up were D Hodge, C St Clair, J Murray & S Martin 58.5 followed by D Mortimer, P Manitta, J Browning & B King with 58&5/8. This week we have a small Social Club teeing off at 7 am. You will be able to play amongst them, please contact the club to make a booking for social play or for any further details.
