Friendly Fridays’ had a massive 28 golfers tee off playing a stroke back 9 competition, for the Big Money Day. The winner was B Lawrance with 32 net, runner up was C Shannon with 33 net ocb from W Martin & M Crowther with 33 net. The run down went to B Hutchinson 34 net & T Alchin 35 net. The best gross for the day was received by A Heit with 39 off the stick. The pin shots were received B May, J Handley & B Huthinson while the NAGA went to A Leary. Saturday’s competition was sponsored by Bendigo Bank playing a stableford competition. The A Grade winner was A Heit with 40 pts, runner up ocb was M McNeice with 39 pts. B Grade winner was L Blunt with 40 pts ocb from runner up S. Bailey. C Grade winner was M Surawski ocb from runner up C Wilson with 38 pts. The run down went to W Gnech, D Forsyth & G Sellick 39 pts, B Philp 38 pts, M O’Reilly 37 pts followed by P King, G Parker, M Llewellyn, J Handley, A Hertweck, T Britton, S Hughes, M Dickson & J Gillett 36 pts. Pin shots were received by G Eviston & J Edwards on 4/13, T Grimshaw & A Brown received 8/17, while T Alchin received 9/18. The Challenge Pennants had another win, winning 3 to 2 against Hattonvale 1. No Social club this week. The club house will open at 8.30 if wanting a game of golf. Ring the club for further details.
