Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 27 players play a Stableford competition. The winner was T Russell with 38 pts, runner up R Stinson with 37 pts ocb. The ball run down went to G Sharpe 37 pts, G Parker 36 pts. W Hill 35 pts, followed by G Hunt, V Christensen & D Forsyth 34 pts, G Sorenson, N Halls & K Kirgis 33 pts and C Petrohisos, B Cunningham, D Dann & E Meagher 32 pts. The Members Draw jackpotted while the Encouragement Award went to R Holland. Next week will be a stableford competition. Monday the 16th November is the Scenic Rim District Day at Beaudesert.
Ladies
Because of wet condition we had 6 players for a 4BBB draw for partners competition. However the course was playable if the buggies were kept to the middle of the fairway. The winners were J Sippel & A \Tomlinson with 43 pts and the runners up were K Cook & J McAntee with 35 pts. N Mulligan & E Meagher had 31 pts. We have now played 3 rounds of the championships. The A Grade leader is J McAntee with 259 strokes followed by J Pfingst with 271. B Grade leader is S Reid with 278 strokes followed by A Leary with 279 strokes. C Grade leader is A Tomlinson 314 strokes next one is J Briant with 340. Wish all those playing in the championships Good Golfing. Wednesday 11th is our AGM. We are playing a bogey competiton and if needed a play off for the medal of medals. Our fun day is a Mulligans, naturally for a trophy donated by Nicki. Wednesday the 25th is our Christmas lunch day and our away day is the 2nd December. From Birdie
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters had 17 people start only to be washed out. This week will be sponsored by K Rhodes playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored by R Brooks & M Crowther playing a stroke + putting 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Sporters Championships will be held on Wednesday 18th & 25th November.
Friendly Friday:
Friendly Fridays’ had 18 players tee off playing a stableford back 9 competition. The winner was W Martin with 20 pts, runner up M Crowther ocb from A Gill with 19 pts. The run down went to B Davey & G Hunt with 18 pts.
Saturday
Saturday we played the 3rd round of the Championships kindly sponsored by Boonah Tyre Power. The Overall Winner was A Tomlinson with 67 net. The mens winner was A Parker ocb from runner up A Gill & L Blunt with 68 net, followed by B Gotke ocb from K Milligan & T Bennett. The ball run down continued with B Beasley, P McNiven & R Anderson 70 net, R Dewar, K Wilson, P Leath, I Browning & M Hassan 71 net, G Grimsey, H Perrem, R Brooks, R Philp, D Forsyth & P Gerhardt 72 net followed by J McAntee, R Humphrey, J Browning, S Fahey, T Alchin, S Peell, N Toohey & J Townsent 73 net. The ladies winner was N Mulligan with 70 net, runner up was D Wall ocb from S Reid with 71 net, followed by D Kuhnemann with 73 net ocb. R Anderson had an Eagle on the 3rd hole. This week is the final round of the Championsips sponsored by R Humphrey, W Hall, R Brooks & A Brown. Next week will be a 4 Ball Ambrose competition sponsored by FIS Insurance.
Sunday:
Sunday we have a social club followed by the final of the Pennants teeing off at 10.30, using all the buggies. Social play will be available for those wanting to play 9 holes between 7 & 9 am. Social play will then be available after 2 pm. Ring the club for further details as we have strict rules still in place for the Carona Virus. Sunday we are hosting a Memorial for John Maynard starting at 2 pm. John was a Life Member of our club.
