Ladies

A magnificent winters’ morning greeted our ladies for a stableford competition sponsored by Laraine Gurnett.  The winner with 37 pts was Jan Edwards closely followed by runner up Maureen Maynard with 36 pts.  The ball run down went to Jan Baulch on 32 pts, and Laraine Gurnett with 31 pts.  Pinshots were received by Juleen Sippel on 4/13 and Ellen Meagher on 8/17.  Linda Edwards, Kris Cook and Jenny Briant also competed and enjoyed the morning.  Wednesday the 2nd August will be a stableford tee off at 8.30 and will be sponsored by the club.  Our Ladies Open Day will be played on Thursday 3rd August with a 9 am shot gun start.  We are expecting a full field of players many travelling from numerous clubs.  Good golfing and may all your putts drop in!

Sporters

Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by Arthur Hertweck & Gary Searle playing a 4 ball aggregate stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.  The winners were R Stinson & J Handley ocb from runners up K Rhodes & R Fitzgerald and G Parker & L Blunt wit 103 net.  The best gross went to G Parker & L Blunt with 59 off the stick. Pin shots were received by R Fitzgerald on 13, G Lutter received 17 while B May received 18.  The Dugandan Dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was received by M Fitzpatrick.  This week will be sponsored by G Eviston as we play the Stan McCullough Memorial playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.   Next week we will be playing the Wally Woolgar Memorial sponsored by his family.

Friendly Friday

Friendly Fridays played a stroke front 9 competition for Big Money Day.  The winner was R Brooks with 27 net, runner up J Handley 30 net, followed by D May 31 net ocb.  The rundown went to W Martin 31 net, S Riley & P King 32 net, followed by B May, R Fitzgerald, V Christensen & K Sawtell 33 net, A Holt 34 net , K Rhodes 35 net and C Greet, M Crowther & V Riley 36 net.  The best gross for the day was won by P King with 37 off the stick.  P King, S Riley & R Brooks received the pin shots while D Ryan received by NAGA.  

Saturday

Saturday we played the All Saints Open Day playing a 2 ball Ambrose competition.   The winners were J Worley & P Leath with 62¼, runners up were C Perrem & G Eviston with 62½, followed by P King & S Edwards with 63 net.  The Social winners were K Sawtell & J Beasley with 59¼, runners up were J Garwood & A Moore with 67 net, followed by A & C Parker with 70 net.  The rundown went to J Lynch & A Heit 63¾, S O’Connell & S Bailey 64 net, followed by G Miller & S Fahey 64¾, M Weber & B Freiberg 65 net, K Rhodes & B May 65¼, M Dickson & I Browning 66¼, W Martin & V Christensen 66½ and R Humphrey & A Brown 67¾.  Pin shots were received by R Eacott on 1/10, 2/11 was received by R Humphrey, J Lynch received 3/12, R Brooks & D Wall received 4/13, G Miller received 5/14, A Heit received 6/15, G Maynard received 7/16, B May & A Leary received 8/17 while P King received 9/18.  The Pro Pin on 4 is sponsored by Drummond Golf and won by R Brooks with 1.4m.  The Pro Pin on 17 is sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery and was won by B May with 2.65.  This week is sponsored by B Philp, C Philp, G Philp & M Gnech playing a stableford/monthly mug competition.  Next week is the Darvall Cup sponsored by S & L Edwards on Saturday and T & M Weatherhead on Sunday.

Sunday

Sunday we played the Mixed Foursome Championships.  The winners were W Gnech & A Brown with 118, runners up were J Browning & J McAntee with 124.  The net winners were J Shine & M Tress with 106¼, runners up were W Gnech & A Brown 106¾.  This Sunday we have 2 social clubs with 7.30 and 8 am tee off.  Social play will be available when they have finished their games.
