Veterans

Monday the Veterans travelled to Canungra.

Sporters

Wednesday was sponsored by W. Gnech playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15.  The winner was W. Wieland with 30 pts, runner up was G. Searle with 29 pts.  The rundown went to J. Browning, G. Eviston & A. Stick 27 pts, followed by R. Scells & G. Miller 26 pts and K. Rhodes & R. Cuneo 25 pts.    Pin shots were received by G. Eviston on 4, A. Stick received 8 while R. Cuneo received 9 (Rob had an Eagle on this hole).   The Dugandan Dice winner this week was J. McGrath.  This week will be sponsored by A. Gill playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6.  Next week will be sponsored Far Outdoors  Boonah playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15.

Friendly Fridays’

Friendly Fridays’ had 20 players tee off playing a stroke front 9 competition.  The winner was K. Reinholdsson ocb from runner up S. Riley & B. Gotke with 33 net.   Pin Shots were received by S. Fahey, J. Handley & A. Featherstone.  The best gross for the day was A. Hiet with 35 off the stick.  The NAGA was received by P. Cooper.   Be here 2.45 pm for a 3pm tee off on Friday.

Saturday

Saturday was the 3rd round of the Championships sponsored by President Mike Gnech playing a stroke competition.  The winner ocb with  65 net was R. Gramblower (a visitor from Tin Can Bay) from runner up J. Handley & P. Leath.  The rundown continued with N. Toohey 67 net, J. Browning, S. Edwards & B. Gotke 68 net, B. Frieberg, V. Riley, K. Rhodes & G. Benstead 69 net followed by S. Fahey, J. Lynch, T. Weatherhead, & I. Kemp 70 net, G. Parker, T. Lynch, W. Hall & D. Mortimer 71 net and R. Cuneo, M. O’Reilly, M. Weber, D. Bond, M. Simpson, V. Christensen, J. Worley, G. Maynard & T. Britton 72 net.  The ladies winner was D. Kuhnemann with 67 net, runner up A. Brown 70 net.  Pin shots were received by R. Eacott & L. Edwards 4/13, I. Kemp & A. Brown received 8/17 while T. Alchin received 9/18.  The Pro Pin sponsored by Drummond Golf is currently held by G. Benstead 66 cm while the Sugarloaf Bakery Pro Pin is currently held by P. King with 97 cm.  Not many of us can say we have shot our age off the stick but today John Handley was good enough to have 79 off the stick to shoot his age.  Congratulations John.  This week will be another stroke/monthly medal competition sponsored by C. Shannon, T. Weatherhead & R. Brooks.  Next week will be sponsored by J. Shine & K. Eugarde playing a stableford/monthly mug competition. Timesheets are out now.

Sunday was the fianl round of the Championships sponsored by our Patron H. Gwynne.  The winner was M. Weber with 64 net, runner up J. Worley ocb from B. Freiberg, B. May, P. Leath & B. Davey with 67 net.  The rundown continued with T. Weatherhead & S. O’ Connell 69 net, followed by J. Lynch 70 net, S. Fahey & G. Maynard 71 net and T. Lynch & T. Grimshaw 72 net.  The ladies winner was J. Baulch with 72 net, runner up  D. Kuhnemann with 75 net ocb from H. Browning.     Pin shots were received by S. Fahey & M. Maynard on 4/13, M. Gnech & L. Edwards on 8/17 while 9/18 was received by B. Davey.  Our Champions for 2015 are B. Freiberg  (who had a 68 off the stick) & A. Brown, A. Grade runner up was J. Browning 298. A. Grade Net Winner was S. Fahey with 281 from runner up B. Freiberg 285.   B. Grade winner was J. Worley with 321, runner up B. May 327.  The Net Winner was G. Benstead with 277 from runner up P. Leath 280.  C. Grade winner was T. Weatherhead with 371 from runner up M. Weber 373.  The Net Winner was T. Weatherhead 279 from runner up M. Weber 281.  D. Grade winner was K. Reinholdsson with 412, runner up T. Britton 415.  The Net Winner was T. Britton 286, runner up K. Reinholdsson 300.  The Junior winner was I. Browning while the Senior Winner was G. Parker 324 from runner up P. King 325.  The Senior Net Winner was G. Benstead with 277, runner up T. Weatherhead 279.  The Overall Best Net was received by G. Benstead with 277.  The Ladies B. Grade winner was D. Kuhnemann, C. Grade winner was H. Browning.
