Veterans: The Veterans had 19 players turn up for the Public Holiday and played a single stableford competition. The winner was G Holmes with 39 pts ocb from runner up R Fitzgerald and T Lynch. The run down continued with T Russell 36 pts, D Forsyth 35 pts and C Shannon & M Gray 33 pts. The mens tee shots on 4/13 was received by G Philp while T Lynch received 8/17. The ladies tee shots on 8/17 & 9/18 were received by D Wall. The Encouragement Award was received by K Cook while the Members Draw Jackpotted. The next 2 weeks will be stableford competitions.
Ladies: Wednesday last we had a very good field of 14 players compete for Jo McAntee’s trophy so thank you Jo for the winner and runner-up. Best score was Jenny Briant who played to her handicap having 36 stableford points. Runner-up on the count back was Linda Hooke from Jo with 35 points. Other scores were Di Kuhnemann 33, Marg Kuhnemann, Meryl Tress 31, Maureen Maynard, Kris Cook and Robbe Fitzpatrick 30, Jill Pfingst and Anne Brown 29, Jan Edwards, Jan Baulch and Linda Edwards 27. Jill was on the line and Jan E and Robbe won the pin shots. The draw for the Beryl Drady match play has been done so good luck for the matches. Championships are not far away. The A Grade winner was S Bailey ocb from runner up P Hourn with 68 net, followed by G Parker & B Freiberg 69 net, followed by G Philp with 72 net. B Grade winner was D Mortimer with 70 net, runner up R Eacott ocb from A Parker with 71 net, followed by R Brooks 75 net & M Simmonds 77 net. The C Grade winner was T Britton with 69 net, runner up M Weber ocb from D Patterson with 70 net, followed by D Gittins with 71 net. The ladies winner was D Wall with 74 net, runner up J Pfingst ocb from A Brown with 77 net followed by M Kuhnemann & M Tress with 78 net. The Anzac Day Cup was won by B Freiberg with 72 off the stick.
