Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 53 players tee off playing a stableford competition, for their Open Day. The winner was G Parker ocb from runner up H Revell with 37 pts. The ball run went to B May, K Sawtell, M Hassan, E Jorgensen, P Sheffield 36 pts, S Bailey & W Hill 35 pts followed by D Johnson with 34 pts. The ladies winner was A Brown with 39 pts, runner up M Maynard with 36 pts. The ball run down went to J Edwards 35 pts followed by M Kuhnemann & N Bell 32 pts. Pin shots were received by P Wilson & D Bass while A Brown received the ladies. Next week will be a stableford competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the ladies played a single stableford competition, for E Meaghers’ trophy. The winner was T Reid-Pocock with 39 pts, runner up was H Roebig with 35 pts. The ball run down went to S Reid 33 pts & A Brown 32 pts. Next week will be a stableford competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by Boonah Eyecare playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was D Forsyth with 29 pts, runner up was A Lutter with 28 pts. The ball run down went to B Lawrance, W Hall & G Searle with 25 pts followed by B Brown with 24 pts. Pins shots were received by G Lutter on 13, R Cuneo received 17 while A Lutter received 18. The Dugandan Dice winner was G Searle in a throw off. This week the sporters will be sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored W Hall & B Sampson playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played the 1st round of the Darvall Cup, for a club trophy. The Mens winner was J Browning with 68 net, runner up A Lutter ocb with 70 net. The ball run down went to J Gurney & K Sawtell 70 net, M Weber & W Martin 71 net followed by W Gnech, B Lawrance, & P Dadds 72 net and A Hertweck 73 net. The ladies winner was J Briant with 68 net, runner up K Turner with 72 net. The ball run down went to S Reic & S McKenzie 73 net. Pin shots went to J Browning & E Meagher on 4/13, D Smith & K Turner received 8/17 while C Philp received 9/18. S McKenzie received the Accurate Drive. This week will be sponsored by Bendigo Bank playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. Next week will be the K & L Forsyth Memorial playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition.
Sunday:
Sunday we played the 2nd round of the Darvall Cup. Big Thanks to Richard Darvall for your continued support of our club. The Darvall Cup winner was J Browning while the Ladies winner is yet to be decided. The winner for the day was I Pocock with a 64 net. Ian has just started playing golf competitions and enjoyed the Get into Golf Clinics the club has just put on. Runner up was J Browning ocb from A Hertweck & N Pellin with 72 net. The ladies winner was Z Eviston ocb from runner up A Brown with 71 net. The ball run down went to E Meagher 72 net, S Lutter, S McKenzie, T Reid Pocock & A Tomlinson 73 net, followed by R Humphrey, M Weber, G Philp, T Richardson, & B Brown 74 net and J Handley & A Heit 75 net. Pin shots were received by J Pfingst & A Heit on 4/13, G Philp & S Reid received 8/17 while N Pellin received 9/18. The Accurate Drive winner was R Humphrey. Our B Grade Pennants side played Ipswich today losing 3/2. T Alchin won 3/1, S Bailey lost 5/4, A Parker lost 1 down, W Martin won 1 up while H Perrem lost 1 down.
