Monday/Tuesday: We played a stableford competition. The winner was W Gnech ocb from runner up W Martin with 38 pts. The Ball run down went to B Lawrance 37 pts, P Leath 36 pts followed by W Maudsley & K Kirgis 34 pts. Wednesday:
Ladies: Last week we played a stableford for Di Kuhnemans trophy and this was won by Barb Hamilton with 39 points. Runner up was Ellen Meagher with 36 points. Other scores were Vicki Bird and Jan Baulch with 35 points, Linda Hooke 33, Kris Cook, Di Kuhnemann and Jo McAntee 32, Jan Edwards and Nicki Mulligan 30. The pin shot on 4/13 was won by Vicki Bird and on 8/17 Jo McAntee. The accuracy drive was won by Anne Brown who was right on the line. Next Wednesday we are playing a monthly medal stroke and putting. The following Wednesday its Jo McAntees trophy playing a stableford, this will be the third round of the consistency cup. We are getting good scores lately due to the ground staff and volunteers who are keeping the course and greens in good condition. Also it is perfect golfing weather at the moment. The championships were to be played in May but have been postponed to September. Good golfing everyone from Birdie.
9 Hole Competition: Wednesday a stroke front 9 competition was played, with the winner being J McGrath ocb from runner up G Parker & B Brown with 35 net, followed by R Cuneo with 36 net. The least number of putts went to B Brown with 12.
Thursday/Friday: The 18 hole competition winner was H Perrem with 44 pts, runner up B Lawrance with 42 pts. The run down went to R Patrick, W Brantjes & R Higgs 37 pts followed by K Wilson with 36 pts. The 9 hole competition was won by E Meagher with 19 pts.
Saturday: Saturday we played a single strableford competition. This was a club trophy. The A Grade winner was A Bennett ocb from runner up B Freiberg with 38 pts. B Grade winner was I McNabb with 35 pts, runner up K Milligan 34 pts. C Grade winner was B Brown with 35 pts, runner up W Bird ocb with 34 pts. The Ladies winner was S Reid with 34 pts, runner up K Turner 33 pts ocb. The run down went to P Gerhardt & D Mortimer 37 pts, K Wilson & J Gurney 36 pts, G Parker, W Gnech, J McGrath & C Perrem 35 pts, followed by W Maudsley, R Cuneo, B Gotke & M Schubring 34 pts, N Toohey, B Lawrance, J McAntee, W Crawford & B Davey 33 pts and P Leath, S Lutter, G Maynard, G Lutter, M Weber, K Stirling & D Forsyth 32 pts.. No pin shots or pro pins due to the caronavirus. The Championships are tentively booked for September 19th, 26th and the 3rd & 4th October.
Sunday: Social play will be available. Please ring the club to make a booking as we have strict regulations of play in leiu of the caronavirus. Competitions are also available. If not enough players they will go into the Monday/Tuesday comp.
