The Audrey Morris Memorial day sponsored by Josie Newlove was won by Jenny Briant with 38 points followed by Ellen Meagher on 37. These 2 ladies are new players this year and are playing good golf. Linda Hooke had 32, Jan Edwards and Marg Kuhnemann 29, Jan Baulch 28. Ellen won the pin shot on 4/13 and Jan B on 8/17. Last Wednesday was sponsored by Linda Hooke and once again a very good winning score was returned, Meryl Tress being the winner with 39 points with Kris Cook runner-up on 37. Both ladies had better check their handicaps for next week. Sporters
Wednesday the Sporters played the District Pubs Day. The winners were Mt Alford No 2 team, runners up were the Dugandan Hotel. The run down went to L Vandenbrink, P Gutzke, G Maynard & B Pavitt all with 19 pts. Pin shots were received by G Shrimpton on 13, A Moore received 17 while J Rides received 18. The Dugandan Dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was received by G Maynard. The NAGA was received by M Blundstone. Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays had 28 players tee off playing a stableford front 9 competition. The winner was P Cooper with 22 pts, runner up K Reinholdsson ocb from B Brown and S Riley with 21 pts. The run down continued with K Sawtell & M Fitzpatrick 20 pts, followed by M Hassan & B May 19 pts and J Handley 18 pts. The pin shot was received by W Martin while C Shannon received by NAGA. This week will be a stroke back 9 competition for Big Money Day.
Saturday
Saturday was sponsored by Quality Management Australia playing a 4BBB stroke competition. The winners were M Sullivan & N Toohey with 62 net, runners up were K Sawtell & A Heit with 64 net. The rundown went to V Christensen & G Ball and C Shannon & V Christensen 68 net, M Dickson & J Browning 69 net, J McAntee & A Heit and J Browning & L Vandenbrink 70 net, P King & J McGrath 72 net. Congratulations to all those who played in the rain on Saturday, because of your dedication to golf you will all received a ball. Sunday the 5th November is a Sponsors Day playing a 2 ball ambrose 1.30 shot gun start. If you have sponsored a day of golf during the year you are all invited to come along and enjoy a 9 hole game of golf.
