Monday Boonah Veterans

The Veterans played a Stableford event with great weather conditions and the winner for the day was Anne Brown with 39 points. The runner up was Glenn Sippel on a count back with 37 points from Bob Brown who also had 37 points. Following in the rundown were Kris Cook with 37 points, Mark Crowther with 36 points, James Arthur had 35 points. Completing the rundown were R. Parnell, Tom Currie and Arthur Featherstone all had 34 points. The NTP on 4/13 was received by Arthur Featherstone, 8/17 was received by Murray Simpson and 9/18 was received by Kris Cook. The encouragement award went to our Captain Vic Riley.

Wednesday Sporters

Last Wednesday unfortunately weather was not on our side once again. It was Pub Day and the competition played was a single Stableford 1-9 event! We managed to have three teams of six that being Simons Tavern, Dugandan Hotel and the Combo Pub ( bit of both), thank you to these 2 pubs for your support in donating the trophies for this event. The winning Pub for the day was the COMBO TEAM, G Parker, L Vandenbrink, J Potter, G Ball, W Jackson and T Currie having a combined round of 104. The runners up team were from the Dugie Pub B Brown, D Forsyth, M O’Reilly, W Hall, D Webster and M Matthews having a combined round of 97. The individual winner for the day was G Parker on a count back of 20 points and the runner up was A Stick also on a count back of 20 points followed by W Hall and M Matthews having 20 points each, G Ball had 18 points and J Potter, M O’Reilly and L Vandenbrink each finished up with 18 points. The NTP on number 4 was received by D Forsyth, number 8 was received by Nobody and number 9 was received by J Potter. This week we play for SPAR Supermarket playing a single stroke 1-9 event and the following week we play a single Stableford 10-18 + 7-9 event for Mitre 10 Hardware.

Friendly Fridays

Yay, finally a little ray of sunshine for the Friday Friendly crew. Last Friday we played a single stroke 1-9 event and the winner for the afternoon was Clive Greet having 31 nett and the runner up was Arthur Featherstone having a count back of 33 nett followed by Vern Wilson also having 33 nett and Rose Featherstone and Bob Jones each finished up with 34 nett. Tee off time is 3.00pm, arrive earlier to arrange someone to play with all players welcome!

Saturday

Last Saturday Bendigo Bank held a 4 BBB Stroke Medley Event. The winners for the day were Phil Ward and Bruce Sampson having a count back of 58 nett and the runners up were Wayne Hall and Geoff Parker also having 58 nett, first runners up were Gary Benstead and Tim Domjahn having a count back of 59 nett, second runners up were Mike Gnech and Steve Hughes having 59 nett also, following in the rundown with 60 nett were M Christensen and P Ledlie, T Moller and B Gotke, P Gerhardt and T Currie, S Fahey and G Sippel, P Eggenhuizen and P Manitta, J Shine and A Featherstone followed by J Handley and J McGrath, W Kitchen and P Dadds each having 61 nett, B Beasley and J Beasley, P Ledlie and R Lee, J Harris and T Richardson, J Stenzel and P Gerhardt each had 62 nett, P King and R Eacott, R Cuneo and V Riley, J Edwards and J Baulch had 63 nett, R Mockett and W Crouch, J Comp and J Buganey, S Francis and J Comp had 64 nett. G Sippel had an Eagle on 3/12, P Gerhardt and R Featherstone picked up the NTP’s for the ladies and mens on 4/13, 8/17 was received by J Baulch, 9/18 was received by P Gerhardt. The Macquarie Motors Pro Pin is currently being held by Jan Baulch at 2.69m. This week we play a single Stableford event for Boonah BP Trophy Day and the following week will be Peter King and Joe McGrath trophy playing a single stroke monthly medal event. Timesheets are available for the month of November.

Chookies

Had a few play chookies on the weekend the winner being Shane OÇonnell having18 points. The NTP on number 4 was received by M Zahnow and number 8 was received by M McGarrity. This week chookies may tee off either before 7am or after 7.30am, only a small social club.

Pennants

Sunday the Pennants team played Sandy Gallop 2 at Hattonvale Golf Club. Phil Manitta squared, Joey Worley squared, Arthur Featherstone won 6/4 and Vic Riley was 2 down.
