Veterans: Monday the Veterans had 21 players play a stableford competition. The winner was P Cooper with 38 pts, runner up M Sullivan with 37 pts. The run down went to B Brown 35 pts, P Moran & W Bodetti 34 pts followed by E Windolf 33 pts and M Hassan 32 pts. The mens pinshots were received by K Rhodes and M Sullivan while A Brown received both the ladies. The Encouragement Award was received by V Riley while the membership draw jackpotted. Ladies: Audrey Morris Memorial day was held last Wednesday and Josie Newlove always presents the trophy for her friend. This was won by Meryl Tress with the excellent score of 39 stableford points. You had better check your handicap Meryl. Runner up was Kris Cook with 34, Jan Baulch and Marg Kuhnemann 32, Maureen Maynard 31, Anne Brown 30, Linda Hooke 29, Jo McAntee 25 and Vicki Bird and Juleen Sippel 24. Pin shot on 8/17 was won by Jo and Anne was on the money line. Wednesday we are playing for Clair Wieland’s trophy and Sunday is the foursomes championships. Good luck to all the teams.
