Golf Notes 17/5/21 – 23/5/21

Veterans:

The Veterans had 27 players tee off for a stableford competition on Monday.  The winner was S Kopelke with 33 pts, runner up were G Hunt with 32 pts ocb.  The ball run down went to W Hill 32 pts, N Casey, K Rhodes & R Fitgerald 31 pts, M Gray, S Dennis & N Zahnow 30 pts followed by S Kopelke & M Hassan with 29 pts.    The pin shots for the men went to T Russell & S Dennis while S Kopelke received the Ladies.  The Encouragement Award went to T Lynch while the Members Draw was won by S Kopelke..   Next week will be the Beaudesert Open Day playing a stableford competition

Ladies:

Wednesday was a club trophy playing a bogey competition.  The winner was A Brown with -2, runner up was J Edwards with -4.  The pin shot on 8/17 was won by A Brown.  This week will be a Stableford competition, for Laraine Gurnetts’ trophy.

Sporters:

This week the Sporters was sponsored by Boonah Tyre Power playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.  The winner was S Lutter with 45 net, runner up was G Lutter ocb from M Gray, G Parker & A Lutter with 48 net.  Pin shots went to R Stinson on 13, G Lutter received 17 while B Beasley received 18.  This week will be sponsored by G Lutter playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.  Next week will be sponsored by J McGrath playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.

Saturday:   

Saturday was the 3rd  round of our Championships.    The winner was B Davey with 69 net, runner up K Milligan with 70 net.  The Ladies winner was B Dover with 72 net, runner up H Roebig with 73 net.  The ball run down went to I Browning 71 net, S Lutter 72 net, N Pellin 73 net, followed by S Fahey, G Martin, R Anderson, W Maudsley & R Dewar 75 net and S Francis, C Shannon, G Lutter, P Leath, P McNiven & G Maynard 76 net.   Pin shots went to C Wilson & D Wall on 4/13, A Gill & S McKenzie received  8/17 while J Browning  received 9/18.   This week will be the Brain Child Open Day.  This will be a 12 pm shot gun start.   Next week will be a single stroke/monthly medal competition sponsored by Boonah Jewellery & Gifts.  This will be the next round of the Bi Rite Challenge.   

Sunday:

We played the final round of our Championships.  The winner was W Maudsley ocb from runner up S Lutter with 68 net, followed by I Browning with 72 net ocb. The Ladies winner was  Z Eviston with 71 net, runner up S McKenzie  ocb with 74 net.  The ball run down went to C Wilson 72 net, J Grimsey 73 net, followed by K Sawtell, K Wilson, G Parker, K Milligan, G Hunt, A Brown M Kuhnemann & H Roebig with 74 net.   Pin shots went to K Milligan & A Tomlinson on 4/13, W Martin & K Turner received 8/17 while B Freiberg received 9/18.  Our club Champions for 2021 are Warren Maudsley & Anne Brown.  Warren had 302 off  the stick, B Freiberg was runner up with 316,  Anne had 367 off the stick while S Mckenzie was runner up with 372 in the ladies.  The net winner was S Fahey 303, runner up K Sawtell 305.  S McKenzie was the net winner with 305 while A Brown was runner up with 307.   B Grade winner was S Lutter with 333, runner up I Browning with 334.  The net winner was K Milligan with 290, runner up S Lutter with 293.  S Reid was the B Grade winner for the ladies with 309, runner up K Cook 413.  The net winner was B Dover with 299, runner up K Cook with 301.  C Grade winner was M Dickson with 389, runner up R Brooks with 396. The net winner was M Dickson with 309, runner up G Grimsey with 312.  The ladies winner was A Tomlinson with 448 with a net of 330.  D Grade winner was T Britton with 447, with a net of 331.  The ladies winner was H Roebig with 507, with a net of 303.  The Senior winner was W Maudsley with 302, runner up J Browning with 333.  The net winner was W Maudsley with 298 while K Sawtell was runner up with 305.   Congratulations to all the winners and to all those who played the 4 rounds.

This week we have a Social Club using all the buggies.  Social play will be available after they have completed their rounds.  Ring the club to make a booking or for further details as we still have rules in place for Covid.
