Veterans: The Veterans played a single stableford competition at Canungra for the Fassifern Day. Twelve Boonah players competed. Kris Cook was the ladies winner with 31 pts, followed by Maureen Maynard with 30 pts. Col Shannon returned to form with 37 pts to be placed 5th in the mens comp, with Maurie Gray on 34 pts 7th place. Kris also got second prize in the raffle. Tomorrow is a stableford competition with a ladies competition if 6 or more ladies play. Next week will be a 4BBB stableford competition.
Wednesday
Ladies: Wednesday last we had a full field of 15 players compete for Di Kuhnemann’s trophy. Thanks Di. The winner was Ellen Meagher with 35 stableford points followed by Linda Edwards 34 who won on a count back from Meryl Tress, and other scores were Marg Kuhnemann and Jan Baulch 32, Jill Pfingst, Maureen Maynard, Vicki Bird, Jo McAntee and Juleen Sippel 31, Linda Hooke 30, Jenny Briant 27, Kris Cook and Robbe Fitzpatrick 23. Marg won the pin shot on 8/17 and also the money line with Jan Baulch winning the pin shot on 4/13. The time sheet for the championships is now out and the draw for the Beryl Drady Match Play will be done today. Good golfing and may all your putts drop in!.
Sporters: The sporters was sponsored by Wayne Wieland & Alan Stick playing a 4BBB stableford competition. The winners were Jeff & Issac Browning with 33 pts, runners up Karl Kirgis & Maurie Gray with 30 pts. The ball run down went to Murray Maudsley & B Purcell and Wayne Wieland & Dick Forsyth 29 pts, followed by Ron Scells & Michael Fitzpatrick 28 pts and Les Blunt & Geogg Parker, Wayne Hall & Mark Crowther and John Handley & Joe McGrath 27 pts. Pinshots were received by R Purcell on 4, W Hall received 8 while J Browning received 9. The dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was won by M Fitzpatrick. Saturday: Saturday was a Club Trophy, playing a stableford competition. The winner was G Parker with 41 pts, runner up R Southwell with 40 pts. The ball run down went to P Gerhardt, W Gnech & W Brantjes39 pts, M Simmonds, J Gurney & M Schubring 38 pts followed by C Perrem & J Shine 37 pts and B May & M Sullivan 36 pts.
