Golf Notes 14/10/19 – 20/10/19

No Veterans this week due to course renovations.  

Ladies:   Sunday 13th was the 1st competition round for the Go Girls Graduates. We had 20 players, which included some ladies from Wednesday and Saturday fields. Our overall winner (non handicap player) was Jan Dover with the excellent score of 24 stableford points for the 9 holes. Winner of the handicap players was Vicki Bird with 20 points. Other players were Sue Grace, Caroline Thompson, Vicky Sampson, Alison Leary, Ellen Meagher, Caz Osborne, Nicki Mulligan, Jenny Briant, Jan Hills, Barbara Hamilton, Bernice Dover, Janet Wilson, Anna Tomlinson, Lauralee Hunt, Maggie Wood, Lindy Reinholdsson, Seren McKenzie and Sonia Reid. Pin shot was won by Alison Leary. Our Wednesday girls played for Maureen Maynard’s trophy and this was won by Anna Tomlinson with 42 stableford for 18 holes. Check your handicap Anna!! Runner up was Margie Kuhnemann 35, Vicki Bird and Nicki Mulligan 33, Linda Edwards 31, Jill Pfingst 30, Jo McAntee and Linda Hooke 29 and Di Kuhnemann 27. Pin shots went to Vicki and Jo and Jill won the money line. Wednesday our sponsor is past member Marlene Zurvas and next week is the Medal of Medals sponsored by another past member, Beryl Podlich. Sporters:   Wednesday was sponsored by R Cuneo (Boonah Jewellery & Gifts), playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was G Eviston ocb from runner up S Edwards with 28 pts. The run down went to R Cuneo, G Parker & A Parker 26 pts, followed by G Lutter, B May & B Davey 25 pts and R Scells 24 pts. Pin shots were received by W Wieland on 4 and G Parker received both 8 & 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was B May. This week will be the Fassifern Pub Day playing a stableford, back 9 hole competition. Next week will be sponsored by Boonah Mitre 10 playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.

Friendly Fridays:  The Friendly Fridays had 23 players tee off playing a stableford back 9 competition. The winner was W Martin ocb from runner up K Sawtell & W Maudsley with 20 pts. The run down went to B May 20 pts, A Stick 19 pts followed by M Gray, L Edwards, B Lawrance, E Meagher and N Quinton with 18 pts. The pin shot was received by K Sawtell while D May was awarded the NAGA.

Saturday:   Saturday was the Fassifern Old Boys Rugby League Open Day. The A Grade winner was B Lawrance with 42 pts, runner up C Perrem 40 pts, followed by R Cuneo & B May 39 pts and W Gnech 37 pts. B Grade winner was P Leath with 44 pts, runner up N Toohey with 41 pts, followed by M Simmonds & W Martin 39 pts and S Lutter 38 pts. C Grade winner was G Lutter with 40 pts, runner up S Edwards with 36 pts, followed by T Britton, R Patrick & D Marsh 35 pts. The Social Mens winner was B Batley with 71 net while L Humphrey won the ladies, runner up C Parker 72 net, followed by T Cobbin 73 net, P Hope 74 net and B Johnson 74 net. The ladies winner was E Wrigley with 40 pts, runner up Z Eviston 37 pts, followed by S McGrath 36 pts, S McKenzie 35 pts and D Kuhnemann 33 pts ocb. The ball run down went to R Humphrey 37 pts, A Parker & M Gnech 36 pts, followed by J Beasley, G Philp, K Sawtell, W Hill & W Brantjes 34 pts and T Alchin, W Hall, J Shine & K Turner 33 pts. Pin Shots were received by N Toohey on 1/10, C Perrem received 2/11, T Alchin received 3/12, K Milligan & E Wrigley on 4/13, J Gurney received 5/14, D Kuhnemann received 6/15, C Perrem & J McAntee received 8/17 while J Beasley received 9/18.
