Ladies
Last week we finally managed to play our weekly competition in pleasant conditions. Sponsor for the day was our past President Di Vaughan who we thank. Winner was Jan Edwards with 34 stableford points. Runner-up was Ellen Meagher and she also won the pin shot on 4. Other players were Jo McAntee and Anne Brown 31, Di Kuhnemann 30, Marg Kuhnemann 29 who beat Linda Hooke on the countback for a ball. Others who played were Juleen Sippel, Jan Baulch, Jill Pfingst, Kris Cook, Meryl Tress, Maureen Maynard and Lesley Rhodes won the NAGA award. Jo won the pin shot on 8/17 with a birdie. We are playing for Jo’s trophy this week and it is the 2nd round of the Consistency Cup. Saturday 24th is a big day sponsored by Blue Ribbon Motors and Sunday 25th is a 9 hole competition also sponsored by Blue Ribbon Motors. The club is hosting a special lunch to celebrate 90 years of golf at Boonah. Please book if you wish to be there. Good golfing and may all your putts drop in.

Wednesday sporters’ was sponsored by W Gnech playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was M Hassan with 44 net, runner up J Freiberg 47 net. The run down went to L Vandenbrink 48 net and J McGrath 49 net. Pin shots were received by R Wilkie on 13, 17 was received by J McGrath, while 18 was received by B King. The best gross for the day was received by J Worley with 53 off the stick. The dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was received by K Kirgis. This week will be sponsored by President Royce playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored by D Forsyth playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Friendly Friday
Friday we had 13 players tee off for a stroke front 9 competition. The winner was D May with 34 net ocb from runner up W Martin & K Kirgis with 34 net. The run down went to P King 35 net and R Brooks 36 net. The pin shot was received by B May while L Rhodes received the NAGA.
Saturday
Saturdays’ competition was sponsored by R Brooks, C Shannon & P Cooper playing a 4BBB Championship stroke medley competition. The Champions for 2018 are V Bird & D Gittins with 60 net, runners up are R Humphrey & T Richardson with 62 net. The run down went to M Tress & D Gittins and J Handley & R Eecott 63 net, A Bennett & B Frieberg, W Hall & L Blunt and M Gnech & G Philp 64 net, W Gnech & B King, G Balharry & N Toohey, A Hertweck & R Fitzgerald and Z Evisston & S Francis 65 net followed by J & I Browning 66 net and G Balharry & P Dadds and M Dickson & B Sampson 67 net. Pin Shots were received by B May & A Brown on 4/13, 8/17 was received by W Gnech & J McAntee while A Heit received 9/18. Sunday
The Boonah Mechanics Chook Run is open to anybody wanting to play 9 holes of golf. No Social Club this week, we are holding a 2 person ambrose competition with a shotgun start at 9 am, bookings for the Chook run are essential. Ring the club for further details.
