Veterans:
Monday the Veterans played a 2 Ball Ambrose competition. The winners were G Parker & D Forsyth with 62 net, runners up were T Russell & G Hunt with 63 net. The ball run down went to R Humphrey & G Hunt 65¼, W Hill & M Hassan and N Zahnow & A McNeill 67 net followed by K KIrgis & M Crowther 67½, A Swift & D Dann 69, N Hall & S Dennis 70¼, and P Moran & W Bodetti 70½. The Members Draw Jackpotted while the Encouragement Award went to J Edwards & K Cook. Tomorrow is a stableford competition. Next week will be a stableford competition. Monday the 16th November is the Scenic Rim District Day at Beaudesert.
Ladies
Last Wednesday we played a stableford for Ellen Meaghers’ trophy and this was won by Di Kuhnemann with 39 pts, runner up was Vicki Bird with 37 pts. Other scores were Margaret Kuhnemann 35, Ellen Meagher and Bernice Dover 34, Anne Brown & Maureen Maynard 30 pts. Vicki won the Accuracy Shot. Last Thursday we had an Open Day with 64 players from 12 different clubs. We are very grateful to have John Krause sponsor the day. Thanks very much John. The Overall Winner was Noela Zagami from Beaudesert with 40 pts. The winner of the 1st Division was Aoauli Carrett from Sandy Gallop with 38 pts. The 2nd Division winner was Laurie Didsman from Gatton with 35 pts, and the 3rd Division winner was won by Barbara Hamilton from Boonah with 39 pts. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the organising of the day. Wednesday is a 4 BBB draw for partners. We are getting to the end of our programme. Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by R Cuneo from Boonah Jewellery & Gifts playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competiton. The winner was G Lutter ocb from runner up A Lutter with 29 pts. The ball run down went to A Gill, M Hassan, M Crowther & T Richardson 25 pts and R Cuneo 24 pts. The Pin Shot draws went to R Scells, R Holland & R Stinson. A Stick won the Dugandan Dice draw. This week will be the Annual Fassifern Pub Day. This will be a stableford back 9 hole competition. Friendly Fridays’ had 14 players tee off playing a stableford back 9 competition. The winner was R Stinson with 23 pts, runner up K Kirgis ocb from W Martin with 22 pts. The run down went M Hassan, S Fahey & D Webster 20 pts & J Lynch with 19 pts. The NAGA was received by K Sawtell.

Saturday we played The Fassifern Rugby League Old Boys Open Day. The winner was J Browning (this was a 71 off the stick for Jeff) ocb from runner up C Wilson with 41 pts, followed by D Gehrke & D Ryan 39 pts. M Gnech & J Miles 38 pts, S Bailey & R Dewar 37 pts, J Townsend & M Simmoncs 36 pts and R Higgs 35 pts ocb. The ladies winner was J McAntee with 42 pts (this was a 76 off the stick for Jo), runner up was A Tomlinson wit 38 pts, followed by K Turner 36 pts, J Briant 35 pts and L Humphrey 33 pts ocb. The Social winner was N cobbing with 74 net, runner up T Cobbin with 76 net, followed by J Andrews & L Andrews 77 net, G Andrees, D Ward & C Grimsey 78 net. This week is the start of the Championships. Saturday will be sponsored by The Butcher Co playing a single stroke competition. Pennants:
Division 1 played Gattion at Gatton and had a draw 4½ – 4½. Winners were B Gotke, A Gill, S Bailey, J Browning while C Perrem squared his match. Division 2 played Rosewood at Ipswich won 3½ – 1½. The winners were P Leath, J Gillett & I Browning while K Sawtell squared his match. Thanks again to all who played and helped in any way.
Sunday: We are playing the 2nd round of the Championships. Social play will be available after the afternoon groups have competed their front 9. Ring the club to make a booking or for further details as we have strict rules still in place for the Carona Virus.
