Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored R Wilkie playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was M Fitzpatrick with 31 pts, runner up V Christensen with 28 pts. The ball run down went to K Rhodes & M O’Reilly 25 pts followed by L Vandenbrink & R Wilkie 24 pts. Pin Shots were received by G Parker on 13, while B May received both 17 & 18. The Dugandan Dice was received by N Hooke. This week will be a club trophy playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 compeititon. Sporters will resume on January 9 sponsored by B Davey playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays had 14 players tee off playing a stroke back 9 competition. The winner was J Handley with 34 net ocb from runner up M Crowther and J Sippel The ball run down went to K Rhodes 34 net, K Kirgis 35 net followed by S Riley & M Hassan 36 net. The pin shot was received by S Riley while N Casey received the NAGA.
Saturday
Saturday we played the Firies Open Day (this was the Glenn Sippel Memorial). A big thanks to Greg Maynard and all the sponsors who make this day the success it has become. The Overall winner was R Cuneo with 43 pts. The A Grade winner was G Parker ocb from runner up V Christensen & G Balharry with 38 pts, followed by W Maudsley 36 pts, and S Fahey & J Beasley with 35 pts. B Grade winner was J Robinson with 39 pts, runner up C Perrem ocb from S Hughes 38 pts followed by K Rhodes, D Forsyth & K Sawtell 37 pts. C Grade winner was J Nunan with 39 pts, runner up G Lutter with 38 pts, followed by L Vandenbrink & W Bird 37 pts and C Wilson & N Hooke ocb with 34 pts. The ladies winner was Z Eviston with 32 pts, runner up was M Kuhnemann 31 pts ocb from L Hooke followed by M Tress & M Maynard with 30 pts. The Social winner was S Lutter with 75 net, runner up A Bird 76 net. The rundown went to N Toohey 35 pts, P King, B Gotke, J Lynch & B Perrem 34 pts and A Gill, J Gurney, J Browning, A Hertweck & J Gillett 33 pts. Pin Shots were on all holes. D Wall received 1/10. A Parker received 2/11, S Fahey received 3/12, G Parker & K Cook received 4/13, J Gurney received 5/14, C Wilson received 6/15, W Maudsley received 7/16, J Gurney & J Pfingst received 8/17 and G Balharry received 9/18. The pro pin on 4 is sponsored by Drummond Golf and currently held by W Maudsley with 1.71 m. The pro pin on 17 is sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery and currently held by A Hertweck with 3.47 m.
