Golf Notes 10/6/19 – 16/6/19

Veterans:   Monday the Veterans had 23 players play a stableford competition. The winner was G Gray with 36 pts, runner up P Cooper with 35 pts. The run down went to G Philp, R Patrick & V Riley 34 pts and K Kirgis & T Lynch 33 pts. The mens pinshots were received by K Kirgis and R Patrick while M Kuhnemann and M Maynard received the ladies. The Encouragement Award was received by K Rhodes while the membership draw jackpotted. Tomorrow is a stableford competition.  Next week will be a stroke competition. Just a reminder the Beaudesert Vets Fassifern Day is on the 1st July.

Ladies: The 4th round of the Consistency Cup was sponsored by The Picnic Parlour. Thank you Tammy. Our winner was Marg Kuhnemann with 38 stableford points. Her handicap is going up and down recently! Runner up was sister Maureen Maynard 34, Jan Baulch 33, Anne Brown 30, Jo McAntee, Ellen Meagher, Di Kuhnemann all had 29, Meryl Tress and Kris Cook 27, Jill Pfingst 26, Vicki Bird and Jenny Briant 24, Juleen Sippel 22. Di and Anne won the pin shots and Vicki won the accurate drive. Wednesday we are playing for the Audrey Morris Memorial which is always presented by our past member Josie Newlove. Next week another past member Clair Wieland will sponsor our day. Our Go Girls program is in full swing and Sunday 23rd June will be play on the course after a coaching session with Ann Wilson on Sunday. Good golfing and may all your putts drop in.

Sporters:  Wednesday was sponsored by S Fahey playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was H Perrem with 35 pts, runner up M Weber with 31 pts. The ball run down went to K Kirgis 28 pts followed by B Beasley 26 pts and G Eviston 24 pts. Pin shots were received by M Weber on 4, K Wilson received 8 while B Beasley received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner this week was G Eviston. This week will be sponsored by R Scells for the Kalbar & District Community Bank, playing a 4BBB stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week will be sponsored by D Rhodes from the Scenic Rim Pest Management, playing a stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.

Friendly Fridays:  Friendly Fridays had 16 players tee off playing a stableford back 9 competition. The winner was R Brooks with 24 pts, runner up K Rhodes ocb from J Lynch with 22 pts. The run down went to J Handley 20 pts, B Lawrance 19 pts followed by K Kirgis & P King with 18 pts. The pin shot was received by J Lynch while Z Mayne received the NAGA.

Saturday:  Saturday we played the All Saints Open Day playing a 2 ball Ambrose competition. Thank you to all the All Saints helpers and sponsors to make it a successful day. The winners were B Freiberg & S Lutter ocb from runners up J Gurney & P Munz with 63¼, followed by W Hall & L Blunt with 64 net. The run down went to C Perrem & N Toohey 65¼, J Handley & R Eacott, M Weber & P Rabbitt 65½, M Gnech & G Philp 65¾, A Bennett & S Bennet 66¼, J Browning & B May 66½, followed by T Richardson & A Hertweck 66¾, S Bailey & M Schubring and D Wall & K Turner 67¼, I Browning & B Perrem and C & K Wilson 68 net, R Humphrey & S Francis and G Parker & A Stick with 68½. The Social winners were L Allen & B McCauley with 65 net, runners up were N & T Cobbin with 69 net followed by M Morrison & K Milligan with 71 net. Sunday:   No Chook Run winner this week. Sunday we have a social club using some of the buggies and teeing off at 7.30 am, social play will be available. Some buggies maybe available so please ring the club to make a booking or for any further details.
