Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 35 players tee off playing a stableford competition. The winner was S Edwards with 41 pts, runner up B May with 38 pts. The ball run went to T Russell 37 pts, R Lawrie, R Major, A McNeill & K Rhodes 36 pts, followed by D Dennis & T Lynch 35 pts, M Sim & G Parker 34 pts and W Hill 33 pts. Pin shots were received by T Lynch & T Russell while M Kuhnemann & A Brown received the ladies. The Encouragement Award went to J Sippel while the Members Draw was won by R Humphrey. Next week the 15th is the Scenic Rim Day at Canungra.
Ladies:
Wednesday the ladies played a single stroke competition. The winner was A Tomlinson with 73 net, runner up was A Brown with 79 net. H Roebig received the pin shot on 8/17. Next week will be a Mulligans competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by K Rhodes playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competiton. The winner was R Cuneo with 31 pts, runner up was J Handley with 25 pts. The ball run down went to J McGrath, L Blunt & B Beasley with 23 pts. This week will be sponsored by R Brooks & M Crowther playing a single stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. There will be a prize for the least putts. Next week will be sponsored by Dover & Sons for the 1st round of the Championships playing a stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played the Boonah Rotary Club Open Day, playing a stableford competition. The overall winner was K Ward with 45 pts. The A Grade winner was P McNiven with 44 pts, runner up K Milligan with 38 pts ocb from W Gnech & W Maudsley followed by B Lawrance with 34 pts. B Grade winner was N Pellin with 42 pts, runner up R Dewar with 39 pts, followed by G Hunt, M Herrington & L Blunt with 38 pts. C Grade winner was B Jarrett 42 pts, runner up P Dadds 40 pts, P Rabbitt 38 pts, followed by M Weber 37 pts and T Richardson with 34 pts. The Ladies winner was A Tomlinson with 43 pts, runner up Z Eviston ocb from S Reid with 36 pts, followed by S McKenzie & B Dover with 35 pts. The Social winner was J Hertweck with 73 net, runner up was M Kay with 78 net. Pin shots were received by N Pellin on 1/10, W Gnech received 2/11, J Wilson & M Weber received 3/12, R Dewar (with a hole in 1 on the 4th) & S Reid received 4/13, G Hunt received 5/14, Z Eviston received 6/15, J Grimsey received 7/16, P McNiven & A Brown received 8/17 while R Philp received 9/18.
