Monday Boonah Veterans
Last Monday veterans held a single Stableford event and the winner for the day was Bryan Hall on a count back of 38 points and the runner up was Phil Cooper also having 38 points following in the rundown were S Rolly and S McGregor. The NTP on 4/13 was received by S Rolly, 8/17 T Jewels and 8/17 S McGregor. Reminder our Veterans Open Day will be held here on the 29th of August, shot gun start for 8.30am.
Wednesday Sporters
Last week Arthur Hertweck and Gary Searle held a 4 Ball Aggregate stroke 1-9+16-18 event for their trophy day, the winners for the day were Rob Cuneo and Geoff Parker having 92 and sponsors G Searle and A Hertweck received runners up with 90 followed by M McGarrity and G Sippel having 95. NTP winners were 1: M MCGarrity, 2: G Sippel, 3: W Maudsley, 4 G Sippel, 5: B May, 6: G Searle, 7/16: B May, 8/17: G Sippel and 9/18: G Parker. This week we play a single stroke 10-18+7-9 event for Stan McCullough Memorial Trophy sponsored by Simons Tavern and the following week we play for Wally Woolgar trophy sponsored by David Woolgar, the comp played will be a single Stableford 1-9+16-18.
Friendly Fridays
Last Friday afternoon seen 10 players for a single Stableford 10-18 event and the winner for the afternoon was Rob Brooks having 21 points and the runner up was Arthur Featherstone having 20 points following in the rundown were V Riley with 19 points, V Wilson with 18 points, M Leary with 17 points and G Parker on a count back of 16 points. Tee off time is for 2.30pm. See you all then!
Saturday
Last Saturday seen 62 golfers play a single stroke monthly medal mens A, B and C Grade also Ladies winner, NTP’s were place on every hole also. Sponsors for this day were Rob Philp, Gordy Philp, Chris Philp and Kris Francis, each player received a cooler bag on the day for playing.
The overall winner for the day was Steve Hughes having 63 Nett and the Best Gross for the day was 75 from Glen Sippel. Mens A Grade winner was Wayne Gnech having 64 nett, runner up Aidon Browning with 67 nett, B Grade winner was Wayne Hall with 66 nett, runner up was Simon Francis with 69 nett, C Grade winner Steve Hughes with 63 nett and runner up was Vic Riley with 65 nett. The rundown consisted of K Eugarde having 66 nett, K Mitchell and B May each with 68 nett, G Philp had 69 nett, B Hutchinson, J Shine, A Featherstone, D Forsyth and J Gillett each having 70 nett, K Francis, M Simpson, J Bonk and J Buganey each having 71 nett, R Philp, G Sippel, J McGrath and J Comp each having 72 nett. The Ladies winner for the day was Gillian Buganey having 71 nett, runner up was Seren McKenzie having 76 nett, D Wall also had 76 nett and L Edwards completed the ladies rundown with 77 nett. NTP winners were 1/10: G Parker, 2/11: P Dadds, 3/12: B Freiberg, mens 4/13: P Ledlie, Ladies 4/13: L Humphrey, 5/14: A Gill. 6/15: B Beasley had an Eagle, 7/16: B Freiberg, Mens 8/17: A Browning, Ladies 8/17: D Wall and 9/18: W Hall. This week will be John Shine and Richard Sheild trophy day playing a single Stableford Monthly mug event, we also have time sheets out for 20th of August, Club Trophy playing a single Stableford event, August 27th will be Maureen and Greg Maynards trophy day playing a 4BBB Stableford Medley event and Sunday will be Rotary Club of Boonah’s Open Day playing a single Stableford event.
