Golf Notes 6/1/25 – 12/1/25

Veterans:

Monday the Veterans kicked off their year with 46 players, playing a single stableford competition.  The winner was Jan Dover with 39 pts, runner up was D Stanfield ocb from W Lovett with 37 pts.  The ball run down continued with M Sim. M Gnech & D Bass with 36 pts followed by J Gurney, G Brockie, S Grace & G Philp 35 pts and D Wall with 34 pts.  Pin shots were received by W Maudsley & G Parker while V Tippett, J Dover & S Grace received the ladies.  D Forsyth won the Members Draw.  Next week 20/1/25 will be a single stroke competition. 

Ladies:

The Ladies are playing a summer competition now teeing off at 7.30 on a Wednesday.  Last weeks winner was J Wilson with 38 pts, runner up was J Dover with 36 pts.

Sporters:

Sporters returned on Wednesday playing a single stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, sponsored by G Hunt & T Russell.  The winner was J Gurney with 28 pts, runner up was B Davey ocb with 27 pts.  The run down went to A Hertweck 27 pts, D Forsyth & S Fahey 26 pts and L Blunt & C Shannon 24 pts.  Pin shots were received by A Hertweck on 13, M Chambers received 17 while S Fahey received 18.  The Boonah Tavern Dice winner was M Gray.  This week will be the John Maynard Memorial sponsored by his family, playing a singe stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.  Next week will be the Lew Lutter Memorial sponsored by S Lutter, M O’Reilly, C Farnan, C Shannon & N Hooke playing a single stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.

Saturday:   

Saturday was a wash out due to the course being flooded.   This week will be sponsored by B P Boonah playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition.  The next week will be sponsored by the Pennell Group bringing back the Australia Day Cup.  This will be a 4BBB stableford competition.
