Monday Boonah Veterans
Last Monday veterans played a single Stableford event and the winner for the day was John Potter having 40 points and the runner up was Robert Brooks having 39 points following in the rundown were M Crowther, E Newlove and A Featherstone each having 38 points, V Wilson had 37 points, C Greet, D Yeates and C Shannon each finished up with 36 points. The NTP on 4/13 was received by K Cook, the ladies NTP on 8/17 was received by M Maynard and the mens NTP on 8/17 was received by R Brooks. Garth Henderson received the encouragement award. Happy Birthdays to Vic Riley, Bryan Hall and Elwyn Newlove, wishing you all well.
Wednesday Sporters
Last Wednesday David Mortimer Tiling held his trophy day playing a single Stableford 1-9+16-18 event and the winner for the afternoon was Gary Sorenson having 30 points and the runner up was Elwynne Newlove having a count back on 26 points following in the run down were M O’Reilly also having 26 points, J Handley and L Vandenbrink had 25 points and P Ward and D Forsyth each finished up on 24 points. The NTP on 4 was received by G Sipple, 8/17 was received by G Searle and 9/18 was received by G Parker. This week we play for W Weiland and A Stick playing a 2 BBB Stableford 10-18+7-9 event and the following week we will play a single stroke 1-9 event for Hal Gwynne’s trophy day.
Friendly Fridays
We had 13 for Friday Friendlies last week, the winner for the afternoon was Clive Greet having 23 points and the runner up was Terry Lynch having 21 points followed by V Riley having 20 points and A Featherstone and J Barber each had 19 points. Tee off time is 2.30pm.
Saturday
Last Saturday seen the third round of the club championships for 2011, sponsored by President Wayne Hall. The mens winner for the day was Max Surawski having 65 nett and the runner up was Aidon Browning having 68 nett following in the rundown were T Farmers, N Toohey and R Philp each having 69 nett, P Ledlie, G Balharry and W Draheim each had 70 nett, D Yeates, G Philp, M Simpson, and R McGrath each had 71 nett and J Browning, J Shine, A Bennett, G Sippel and A Gill each finished up with 72 nett. The ladies winner for the day was Kris Cook having 73 nett and the runner up was Sonia Reid having 74 nett. The ladies NTP on 4/13 was received by G Buganey, the mens NTP on 4/13 was received by W Draheim, 8/17 was received by J Stephenson and 9/18 was received by I Kemp. We also have timesheets out for the 23rd of April as a club trophy playing a single Stableford event and the 30th April will be the Anzac Cup, mens A,B and C Grade and Ladies winner and runner up, sponsored by the Kooralbyn Boyz. The mens winner for the day was Mick McGarrity having a count back of 66 Nett and the runner up was G Balharry having 66 Nett also. Following in the rundown were T Farmers with 67 nett, P Manitta and B Beasley each had 68 nett, J Buganey had 69 nett, G Sippel, P McNiven, J Worley, T Domjahn, J McGrath and J Potter each had 71 nett, J Shine, W Kitchen, A Browning, I Kemp, C Philp and B Freiberg each finished up with 72 nett. The ladies winner for the day was Sonia Reid having 72 nett and the runner up was Kaylene Turner having 76 nett. The ladie NTP on 4/13 was received by K Cook and the mens NTP on 4/13 was received by J Worley, the ladies NTP on 8/17 was received by S Reid, the mens NTP on 8/17 was received by T Farmers and 9/18 was received by J Browning. This Saturday is a club trophy day playing a single Stableford event. The overall Champions for 2011 is Jeff Browning and the Runner up was Brendan Beasley, Congratulations.
