Golf Notes 20/6/22 – 26/6/22
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 26 players play a stableford competition. The winner was B May with 41 pts, runner up was A Brown with 39 pts. The ball run down went to R Lawrie 37 pts, D Mortimer & B Brown 36 pts followed by G Philp, G Parker, T Russell & W Hill with 35 pts. Pin shots were received by W Cooper & R Lawrie for the men while A Brown & D Zahnow recieved the ladies. The Accurate Drive winner was A Brown. The Encouragement Award was received by D Gittins while the members draw jackpotted. Next week will be a stableford competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the ladies played a bogey competition sponsored by C Wieland. The winner was A Brown with +1, runner up was T Reid Pocock with -1. The pin shots were received by S Reid & A Brown. The Accurate Drive winner was K Cook. This week will be a stableford competition. Next week will be a single stroke/monthly medal competition sponsored by Scenic Rim Trophies.
Sporters:
This week the Sporters were sponsored by D Rhodes from Scenic Rim Pest Management playing a single stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was T Roebig with 44 net, runner up was G Lutter ocb with 45 net. The ball run down went to G Parker 45 net, W Gnech, & B Lawrance 47 net, followed by W Hall & D Forsyth 48 net and G Hunt & M O’Reilly 49 net. Pin shots were received T Roebig on 13, B Lawrance received 17 while W Maudsley received 18. The Dugandan Dice winner was D Forsyth with 5 tens. This week will be sponsored by The Ward Family (Phil & Kevin) playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored BP Boonah playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 + 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played a 4BBB stableford competition sponsored by G J Walsh & Co. The winners were C Bell & J Miles with 48 pts, runners up was T Reid Pocock & S Reid with 47 pts followed by G Hunt & I Pocock with 46 pts. The ball run down went to V Bird & T Britton 45 pts, A & B Brown 44 pts, W Gnech & J Gurney 43 pts, B Philp & W Hill, A Parker & B Lynch and A Tomlinson & J Wilson 41 pts and T Richardson & B Dover and S Bailey & K Sawtell 40 pts. Pin Shots were received by G Hunt & A Leary on 4/13, B Lawrance & S Grace received 8/17 while R Higgs received 9/18. The Accurate Drive was won by B Brown. This week will be a single stroke/monthly medal competition sponsored by J Gillett, M O’Reilly & D Forsyth. This will be the next round of the Bi Rite Challenge. Next week will be the Dover Memorial, sponsored by Dover & Sons playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition.
Sunday:
Sunday we will be playing the Mens & Ladies Foursome Championships teeing off at 8.30. This is a 27 hole competition so Social play will be available after the last group has completed their 18th hole. Please ring the club to make a booking or for any further details.
