Monday Boonah Veterans
Last Monday the veterans played a single Stableford event and the winner for the day was Bryan Hall having 41 points and the runner up was Jim Arthur having 40 points following in the rundown were M Maynard and R Featherstone each having 39 points, J Shine and K Chivers each had 38 points, D Yeates and P Cooper each had 37 points and V Riley, K Cook, C Shannon and V Wilson each finished up with 36 points each. The NTP on 4/13 was received by C Shannon, Mens 8/17 was also received by C Shannon and the ladies 8/17 was received by K Cook. B Brown received the encouragement award for the day.
Wednesday Sporters
Last Wednesday Sporters played a Stableford 1-9 + 16-18 event for Les Roberts Trophy Day. The winner for the afternoon was Phil Ward on a count back of 26 points and the runner up also on a count back of 26 points was Ron Scells, another count back of 26 points was G Searle followed by D Webster with 25 points and J Allen and M Roberts each finished up with 24 points each. The NTP on number 4 was received by F Johnson, number 8 was received by P Ward and 9/18 was received by G Ball. This week we play a stroke and Putts 10-18 event for Fassifern Butchers trophy day and the following week will be our first round of the sporters championships. Kalbar/Boonah Real Estate will be sponsoring this stroke 1-9 event.
Friendly Fridays
A good roll up for friendly Friday group last week. The competition was a single stroke 1-9 and the winner for the afternoon was Matt Jackwitz on a count back of 30 nett, the runner up was Vern Wilson also having 30 nett, followed by Arthur Featherstone and Wayne Jackson each having 34 nett, Rose Featherstone and Clive Greet had 35 nett, Mark Crowther had 37 nett. Tee off is 3.00pm, please arrive earlier to put your name in.
Saturday
Last Saturday Furniture Court held their trophy day, playing a single Stableford event. (The main prize was a beautiful bedroom suite.) Many Thanks to David Holdorf, Family and Staff for a great day! Money raised was in aid of the MS Foundation. The overall winner for the day was Dick Forsyth with 44 points. A Grade winner was Glen Sippel with 42 points and A Grade runner up was Chris Philp with 41 points. B Grade winner was Simon Fahey with 42 points and B Grade runner up was Tim Domjahn on a count back with 39 points. C Grade winner was Wayne Jackson with 41 points and C Grade runner up was Graham Noe with on a count back with 40 points. Social Winner for the day was Steven Lutter with 76 nett. Ladies winner was Rose Featherstone with 38 points and runner up was Dot Wall with 35 points. In the rundown Tony Britton and Ross McGrath both had 40 points, Max Surawski, Ray Humphrey, Robert Cuneoand Jeff Browning had 39 points, Geoff Parker, Graham Larrescy, and Murray Christensen had 38 points, Dr David Yeates, Tony Richardson and Richard Eacott all had 37 points, C. Crouch, Arthur Featherstone, Michael Gnech, Vic Riley, Col Shannon and Greg Kitchen all with 36 points. Finishing the rundown were Anthony Smith, John Bonk, John Stenzel, Trevor Weatherhead, Jeff Stephan, John Gillett, John Buganey and Shane Gillett. NTP winners Ladies No.4/13 Anne Brown, Mens No.4/13 Simon Fahey, No.8/17 Shane Gillett and No. 9/18 Chris Philp. The Macquarie Motors Pro Pin for Novembe was won by Vic Riley at 1.27m. This week is R Worley and R Eacott trophy day playing a single stroke/ 2010 Monthly Medal Play-off. The following week will be Fassifern Guardian Trophy Day playing a single Stableford and 2010 monthly mug play off. The following week will be P. Ward & F. Johnson Trophy for Closing Day. Pennants
We played Ipswich at Boonah Golf Club last Sunday, Jeff Browning, Aidon Browning and Wayne Jackson all had wins and Joey Worley and Brad Hoskins all had a loss. Over all we won 3-2.
