Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 33 players tee off playing a stableford competition. The winner was A Swift with 39 pts, runner up R Fitzgerald with 37 pts. The ball run down went to A McNeill & G Philp with36 pts, S Edwards & W Hill 35 pts, followed by M Hassan, T Russell & D Gittens 34 pts and G Parker, R Humphrey & L Blunt 33 pts. The ladies winner was A Brown with 35 pts, runner up L Edwards with 32 pts. The Encouragement Award went to D Beazley while the Members Draw was jackpotted. Next week the course will be closed for renovations. The Boonah Vets Open Day has been rescheduled to the 20th September.
Ladies:
Wednesday the ladies had 9 players play a single stableford competition, only using 3 sticks of their choice, sponsored by K Cook. The winner was H Roebig with 30 pts, runner up D Kuhnemann ocb with 27 pts. B Dover received a ball in the run down. Next week will be The Annette Geiger Memorial playing a stableford competition, sponsored by Elite Meats.
Sporters:
This week the Sporters was played the Glen Sippel Memorial sponsored by QFS and mates playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was C Farnan ocb from runner up J Ward with 29 pts. The ball run down went to N Hooke 28 pts, L Blunt 27 pts, S Fahey, P & K Ward, W Wieland & R Scells with 26 pts followed by M O’Reilly & W Maudsley 25 pts and R Fitzgerald, D Forsyth, B Brown, R Cuneo & J Browning 24 pts. The Dugandan Dice winner was B Sampson. This week will be sponsored by M G Eviston for the Hal Gwynne Memorial playing a stableford 10 – 18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week will be sponsored by Scott Bennett from Boonah Business Supplies playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competiton.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by D Forsyth, M O’Reilly & J Gillett playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. This was the next round of the Bi Rite Challenge. The winner was P Francis with 63 net, runner up R Anderson ocb from A Parker with 69 net, followed by S Lutter, W Maudlsey & S Francis all with 71 net and J Gurney with 72 net. The ladies winner was D Wall with 71 net, runner up M Kuhnemann ocb from K Turner with 74 net. The ball run down went to R Humphrey, S Bailey, W Gnech & S Edwards 72 net, G Philp & C Shannon 73 net, followed by G Parker, W Martin, R Eacott & M Dickson 74 net and L Blunt, B Lawrance, B King & J Grimsey 75 net. Pin shots were received by B Spall & K Turner on 4/13, J Wilson & R Anderson received 8/17 while G Parker received 9/18. S Edwards received the Accurate Drive. Sunday:
Sunday we played the Senior Championships, kindly sponsored by B & A Brown. The ladies winner ocb was B Dover. The 55 – 65 winner was S Bailey, 66 – 75 winner was R Humphrey while F Reid won the 76 & over. This week we have a social club teeing off at 7.30. No social play will be available after 1 as they are using all the buggies. Ring the club to make a booking or for any further details.
