Veterans:
A total of 23 Boonah Vets competed in a field of 66 at the Scenic Rim District day at Beaudesert Golf Club on Monday. The men’s winner was John Smith (Beaudesert) with 36 points while Joanne Antcliff won the Ladies with 34 points. Best of the Boonah men’s players in the rundown were Allan McNeill and Graeme Hunt (33 pts) and Evan Windolf 32. Ellen Meagher and Kris Cook (both 31 pts) were the best of the Boonah Ladies.
Ray Holland claimed the pin shot on No.12 and Graeme Hunt got No. 15. Next week the Boonah Vets play a single stableford.
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies played a Single Stroke/Monthly Medal competition, kindly sponsored by the Aussie Hotel. The winner was B Dover with 72 net, runner up E Meagher with 74 net. The run down went to N Mulligan 76 net and A Brown & M Kuhnemann with 77 net. The Putting was won by M Kuhnemann.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by D Webster playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was K Rhodes with 29 pts, runner up L Blunt with 28 pts. The ball run down went to G Hunt & K Kirgis 27 pts, W Maudsley 26 pts, followed by R Humphrey 25 pts and G Eviston, B Brown & B Beasley with 24 pts. The Dugandan Dice winner was R Holland. Pin Shot draws went to A Stick, L Blunt & M Fitpatrick. This week Sporters will be sponsored by W Gnech playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week will be sponsored by R Fitzgerald playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by G J Walsh playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. The winner was J McGrath with 69 net, runner up K Sawtell ocb from R Higgs, K Milligan & R Eacott ocb from J Handley with 71 net. The ball run down continued with L Blunt, J Lynch, P Manitta & M Simmonds with 72 net, A Lutter, S Fahey, N Toohey, B Davey & B Beasley 73 net and B Lawrance, M Gnech & W Hall 74 net. We had 2 Eagles this week Joe McGrath on the 1st, and Issac Browning on the 15th. This week will be sponsored R Brooks, C Shannon, T Britton & P Leath playing a 4BBB stroke competition.
