The Veterans resumed on Monday 11th January.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters started off the year with a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition sponsored by B Davey & R Stinson. The winner was L Blunt with 26 pts ocb, runner up was a visitor K Ward. The run down went to B Sampson 26 pts, G Searle 25 pts and R Scells with 24 pts. The pin shot draws went to L Vandenbrink, M Fitzpatrick & H Perrem. The Dugandan Dice winner was G Lutter. This week sporters play a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition for the John Maynard Memorial sponsored by his family. Next week will be the John Allen Memorial sponsored by R Scells playing a stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 + 15 competition.
Friendly Friday Chook Run:
Friendly Friday Chook Run will be an all day event. You can tee off anytime on Friday, all you have to do is pay before you play. Your handicap will be like the old chook run. Winners will be announced at a later time.
Saturday:
Saturday was the Official Opening Day sponsored by the Maudsley Brothers playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. The A Grade winner & Monthly Medal winner was W Martin with 71 net, runner up was W Gnech with 74 net ocb. B Grade winner was H Perrem with 75 net ocb from J Gillett. C Grade winner was J Grimsey with 71 net, runner up was M Dickson with 74 net. The Ladies winner & Monthly Medal winner was Z Eviston with 77 net, runner up M Maynard with 81 net ocb. The ball run down went to K Milligan & T Richarston 74 net, G Grimsey 75 net, G Parker, J Handley, R Anderson & S Bailey 76 net, J McGrath, J McQuilty & T Alchin 77 net, J Gurney & C Wilson 78 net, R Eacott & M Hassan 79 net, K Rhodes, 80 net, followed by K Sawtell, A Lutter, J McAntee, L Blunt & K Turner 81 net. This week will be sponsored by the Boonah Girls playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition. Next week will be a stroke competition for the Australia v England Cup, sponsored by One 2 See Realty. This will be a 12.30 shot gun start.
Sunday:
Sunday the Club House will be open from 8 am– 12.30. No Social Club this week but a timesheet is out for the Volunteers & Staff to play a 2 ball ambrose competiton, with a 10.30 shot gun start. Please ring the club to make a booking, or for any further details as we still have strict rules still in place due to the Carona Virus.
