Monday/Tuesday: We played a stableford competition. The winner was S Bailey with 38 pts, runner up B Lawrance with 36 pts. The run down went to W Bramtkes & M Simmonds 35 pts and B Davey 34 pts.
Wednesday:
Ladies: Fourteen players played for Jo McAntees trophy last Wednesday and it was won by Nicki Mulligan with 36 points, Jo McAntee had 37points but as it was her trophy she did not accept it. However we did give her a ball in the rundown. The runner up was Anna Tomlinson with 35 points. Other scores were Kris Cook and Barb Hamilton 34, Vicki Bird 31, Ellen Meagher and Marg Kuhnemann 30, Maureen Maynard, Linda Hooke and Marg Kuhnemann 29, Jan Baulch 26, Juleen Sippel 18 and last but not least was Lesley Rhodes. The nearest the pins were won by Jo on 4/13 and Kris on 8/13 and Ellen Meagher won the accuracy shot. We are now allowed to play in fours. However we still have to go by the corona virus rules such as not touching the flag stick, the bunker rake and marking our own card and only one person per buggy. So we are now back to having a draw and at this time of the year names in by 8am to be ready for start of play at 8.30. Next week is stableford for Annas Hair trophy. Please note the championships are now in October beginning 24th and go to 7th November. Good golfing everyone from Birdie.
9 Hole Competition: Wednesday a stableford 9 hole competition was played, with the winner being D Forsyth with 20 pts, followed by R Cuneo & M Hassan 19 pts.
Thursday/Friday: The 18 hole competition winner was W Martin Jnr with 35 pts, runner up R Patrick with 33 pts. The 9 hole stableford competition was won by M Crowther 19 pts, runner up A Gill 18 pts followed by N Hooke 17 pts.
Saturday: Saturday we played a single stableford competition, for a club trophy. The winner was M Weber ocb from runner up K Rhodes with 36 pts followed by M Schubring 35 pts ocb. The rundown went to G Parker, B May, J Robinson & W Maudsley 35 pts, J McGrath, C Marschke & P Leath 34 pts, followed by A Stick 33 pts and S Francis, A Gill, T Alchin, S Lutter & P Dadds 32 pts. The Ladies winner was V Bird with 36 pts, runner up S Reid with 35 pts, followed by J McAntee 34 pts. The ball run down went to M Kuhnemann, S McKenzie, Z Eviston with 33 pts and J Wilson 32 pts.. No pin shots or pro pins due to the caronavirus. The Championships have now been tentively booked for October 24th, 25th, and the 31st with the final day being Saturday 7th November due to the school holidays.
Sunday: Social play will be available. Please ring the club to make a booking as we have strict regulations of play in leiu of the caronavirus.
