Veterans: Monday the Veterans had the Ipswich Vets come up to play a 4BBB stableford. This was a trophy event with it being a draw with 395 per team. The winners were R Parnell & V Riley with 47 pts, runners up were G Hunt & T Russell with 45 pts. The run down went to C Shannon & G Wellings 43 pts, P & K Rogers 42 pts, I Keen & J Demmery, N Halls & A McNeill, T Lynch & J Edwards and E O’Farrell & G Holmes 41 pts and J Chrichton & P Moran, J Sippel & V Bird and M Cufi & M Clem 40 pts. Pin Shots were received by R Parnell & J Demmery while E Meagher received the ladies. The Members Draw jackpotted. Tomorrow is a stableford competition. Next week will be a stableford competition for the Boonah Vets Open Day.
Ladies: A past member of the club, Laraine Gurnett was our sponsor last Wednesday and she brought 2 friends from Stanthorpe with her to play the stableford competition for the day. We thank you Laraine for your continued support. Now that she is the proud owner of a golf cart, Jan Baulch has become a regular winner and she beat Jo McAntee on a countback with 34 stableford points. Other scores were Meryl Tress, Juleen Sippel and a visitor Jennifer Sparkes 33, Laraine had 32, Ellen Meagher and Jill Pfingst 30, Visitor Nicki Thouard 29, Linda Hooke and Kris Cook 28, Vicki Bird 25, Nicki Mulligan 13 and Lesley Rhodes played 9 holes. The ladies winner was J McAntee with 73 net, runner up A Brown ocb with 77 net.
