Veterans: Monday 12 Veterans travelled to Beaudesert to compete in a field of 60 for the Fassifern Day stableford event. While the winner had 40 pts Boonah’s best was C Shannon with 35 pts. L Hooke also received a ball in the run down and one of the ladies pin shots. G Parker took one of the men’s pin shots. True to form, the Boonah players also collected their good share of raffle prizes. Tomorrow is a stableford competition. Next week will be a stroke competition.
Ladies: The July monthly Medal was played last Wednesday and there was a tie with Jill Pfingst and Jan Baulch both returning 76 net. Jill won the daily trophy which was presented by Robbe Fitzpatrick and both girls will be in the medal of medals play off at the end of the season. Both had previously won a medal this year!!! Other scores were Marg Kuhnemann 78, Di Kuhnemann 79, Jan Edwards 80 and Meryl Tress with 81 received the Madam Golfer prize. Pin shots went to Jill, Anne Brown and Di won the money line. Nicki Mulligan put in her second handicap card. Wednesday we are sponsored by The Vault and it is the 5th round of the ‘Consistency Cup followed by a meeting.
