Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by Dover & Sons for the 1st round of the Championships. The winner was D Forsyth with 41 net, runner up S Edwards with 44 net. The ball run down went to A Stick 46 net, W Wieland & R Fitzgerald 47 net and R Cuneo 48 net. Pin Shots were received by B Brown on 4, J Worley received 8 while A Stick received 9. The best gross for the day was both D Forsyth & J Browning with 53 off the stick. The Dugie dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was received by J Browning. This week will be again sponsored by Dover & Sons for the final round of the Championships. Next week will be sponsored by B Brown playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. This will be followed by the Sporters AGM and Christmas drinks.
Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays had 19 players tee off playing a stroke back 9 competition. The winner was L Rhodes with 19 net, runner up D May 32 net followed by K Sawtell ocb from S Edwards with 34 net. The ball rundown continued with K Reinholdsson 35 net and Z Mayne & P King with 36 net. The pin shot was received by J McAntee, while P Cooper received the NAGA. This week will be another stroke round for Big Money Day.

Saturday we played The Fassifern Old Boys Rugby League Open Day, playing a stableford competition. The A Grade winner was I Browning with 39 pts, runner up P McNiven ocb from P Scroggie with 36 pts, followed by B Gotke ocb with 35 pts. B Grade winner was M Gnech with 40 pts, runner up D Forsyth 39 pts followed by J Etherden & K Sawtell with 37 pts. C Grade winner was T Richardson with 37 pts, runner up N Hooke 36 pts, followed by J Shine ocb from B Perrem with 35 pts. The ladies winner was J Pfingst with 40 pts, runner up was A Brown ocb from P Ellis with 37 pts. The rundown went to S Francis 37 pts, B Beasley, A Gill, G Lutter, B Horridge & J Gillett 35 pts, R Lovell, P Gerhardt, W Martin & R Brooks 34 pts, followed by L Edwards, M Frohmuller, V Christensen, C Perrem, M Hassan & R Patrick 33 pts. Pin Shots were on all holes and received by B May on 1/10, T Grimshaw received 2/11, J Browning received 3/12, C Perrem & L Edwards received 4/13, M Gnech received 5/14, I Browning & B Gotke both eagled 6/15, W Harrison received 7/16, P Ellis & J Browning received 8/17 and J Etherden received 9/18. The Chook run sponsored by Mechanics in Boonah was won by M Simmonds with 22 pts. This Sunday we will be playing the VW Scramble. This is a 4 person Ambrose competition. You will have to go on line and register your team. Depending on numbers for this competition you will have to contact the club to make a booking for social play or for any further details.
