Ladies
Our final day of competition for the year was for Vicki Bird’s trophy and she had the best score of the day, 37. So winner of Vicki’s trophy was Jo McAntee with 36 stableford points. Runner-up Jill Pfingst on a countback from Jan Edwards with 35 points and other scores were Jan Baulch 34, Anne Brown 33, Jenny Briant 32, Maureen Maynard 31, Marg Kuhnemann 30, Di Kuhnemann and Meryl Tress 29, Linda Hooke 28. Welcome to Sharon Lindt who is a new member. Di won the pin shot on 4/13 and Anne on 8/17. After play our AGM was held with the election of office bearers for 2019. The summer 9 hole competition begins in December and opening day for 2019 will be February 6. Presentation of the yearly trophies will be at our Christmas lunch on Thursday 29th.
Sporters
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by R Brooks & M Crowther playing a stroke & putting 1- 9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was N Hooke ocb from runner up R Wilkie with 47 net. The ball run down went to R Stinson, G Searle, B Brown & W Wieland 48 net, followed by R Cuneo & R Scells 49 net. Pin Shots were received by A Stick on 4, N Hooke received 17 while W Wieland received 18. The Dugie dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was received by B May. The Putting was won by M O’Reilly with 16 putts while the Best Gross was received by G Parker with 53 off the stick. Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays played a stableford back 9 competition. The winner was T Alchin with 26 pts, runner up L Hooke ocb from D & B May with 24 pts. The ball rundown continued with L Rhodes 22 pts, S Riley & R Fitzgerald 21 pts. K Reinholdsson, N Hooke, K Rhodes & L Edwards 20 pts and R Brooks, J McAntee, S Edwards, J Handley & R Eacott 18 pts. The pin shot was received by T Alchin, while K Kirgis received the NAGA.
Saturday
Saturday was sponsored by Boonah Tyre Power playing a stableford/monthly mug competition. The winner & monthly mug winner was G Parker with 47 pts (Congratulations Geoff on this being the best round of golf you have played being 72 off the stick), runner up was W Bird with 46 pts, followed by W Harrison & R Patrick with 44 pts (this was a 71 off the stick for Will), R Philp 43 pts, G Philp 41 pts, B Gotke & D Mortimer 40 pts, and C Perrem ocb from B King, J Handley, G Balharry, T Alchin & W Hall 39 pts, J Browning 38 pts, S Francis, R Brooks, A Gill, M Hassan 37 pts and I Browning, M Simmonds, D Gittins & J Gurney with 36 pts. The ladies winner was A Brown with 39 pts, runner up J McAntee 38 pts followed by K Turner ocb from D Wall with 35 ps. The Chook run sponsored by Mechanics in Boonah was won by P Rabbit with 23 pts. We have a small social club this week so you will be able to play amongst them. They will be using some of the buggies so if wanting a buggy please ring the club to make a booking or for any further details.
