Ladies
Maureen Maynard provided the spoils for last Wednesday and the ever consistent Ellen Meagher won on a countback with 37 stableford points. Jan Edwards received the runner-up prize and Jo McAntee was the third player on 37. Jan Baulch was next with 35, Di Kuhnemann 34, Kris Cook 33, Anne Brown 32, Maureen Maynard and Juleen Sippel 30, Marg Kuhnemann 29 so too Vicki Bird, Jenny Briant 28, Meryl Tress 25 and Lesley Rhodes completed the field of 14. Anne and Kris both had a chip In and Anne and Maureen won the pin shots. Wednesday we play for Di Kuhnemann’s trophy and on Anzac Day there will be a 9 hole competition starting at 1.30pm. Time sheets for the championships will be available from Friday 20th April for the 4 rounds. Competition fee is $50.00 for the 4 rounds. Conditions of Play for the ladies will be posted on the locker room notice board and also by the time sheets. Please read them.
Congratulations to Di Kuhnemann who defeated Kaylene Turner 3/2 in the first round of the Beryl Drady match play. Other matches are still to be played. Good golfing and may all your putts drop in
Sporters
Wednesday the Sporters’ was sponsored by Far Outdoors Boonah playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was B King ocb from runner up J Potter and L Blunt with 26 pts. The run down continued with R Fitzgerald & R Maudsley 25 pts and D Webster & R Scells 24 pts. Pin shots were received by B King on 13, 17 was received by W Gnech while A Skinner received 18. The dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was received by K Rhodes. This week will be sponsored by W Wieland & A Stick playing a 4BBB stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be Anzac Day playing a 9 hole shot gun start club trophy. This will be open to all members.
Friendly Friday
We had 18 players tee off for Friendly Friday, playing a stableford front 9 competition. The winner was M Turnbull ocb from runner up L Rhodes with 25 pts, followed by R Brooks with 24 pts. The ball rundown went to M Hassan 22 pts, K Kirgis 21 pts followed by A & B Brown and P Cooper 19 pts and J Handley 18 pts. The pinshot was received by R Eacott while N Hooke received the NAGA.
Saturday
Saturday was sponsored by J Shine & K Eugarde playing a stableford/monthly mug competition. The winner was L Blunt with 40 pts, runner up A Davey with 39 pts ocb. The Ladies winner was J McAntee with 37 pts, runner up K Turner with 36 pts. Sunday
The “Mechanics in Boonah” Chook Run is open to anybody wanting to play 9 holes of golf on Sundays. Sorry I don’t have the results for last week. This week bookings will be essential as we have The Grand Social Club teeing off at 7am, there may be some buggies available in the morning. Ring the club for further details.
