Ladies
Because of the rain and the very heavy conditions and also because a number of players were away, Jan Baulch’s trophy day was postponed until later in the year at a date to be finalised. This week, being the first Wednesday of the month is monthly medal and is sponsored by The Australian Hotel. They are great supporters of the club! We are playing a stroke and counting putts. Next Wednesday is a past President, Di Vaughan’s sponsored day. The last week-end of the month will be the celebrations of 90 years of golf in Boonah. Check out the club’s Facebook page for details. Wednesday sporters’ was sponsored by J Dover playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was B King with 29 pts, runner up W Hall with 23pts. Pin Shots were received by B Brown on 13, A Skinner received 17 while G Parker received 18. The Dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was won by J Potter. This week will be sponsored by D Webster playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15. Next week will be sponsored by W Gnech playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6.
Friendly Friday
Friday we had 17 players tee off for a stroke front 9 competition for Big Money Day. The winner was J Handley with 29 net, runner up M Crowther 30 net followed by V Christensen 35 net ocb from M Hassan. The run down continued with M Turnbell, A & B Brown, B May & K Reinholdsson with 36 net. Pin shots were received by A & B Brown and B King. The best gross for the day was received by B May with 42 off the stick.
Saturday
Saturdays’ competition was sponsored by R W Ramsey playing a stableford/monthly mug competition. The A Grade winner was P McNiven with 36 pts, runner up R Burnett 35 pts ocb. The B Grade winner & Monthly Mug winner was B King with 43 pts, runner up R Humphrey with 38 pts. C Grade winner was V Riley with 38 pts, runner up G Ball 37 pts. The ladies winner was K Turner with 37 pts, runner up A Brown 31 pts. The run down went to N Toohey 37 pts, B Philp 36 pts, P King, S Francis & T Britton 35 pts, followed by J Browning, P Dadds, M Dickson & J Barber 34 pts and W Gnech, K Sawtell, C Wilson & T Richardson 33 pts. Pin Shots were received by T Britton & J McAntee on 4/13, 8/17 was received by B King & Z Eviston while P Dadds received 9/18. Sunday
The Chook run winner was B Rides with 21 pts, runner up V Christensen 20 pts. The Chook Run is open to anybody wanting to play 9 holes of golf. No Social Club this week so you can tee off when you would like to. Club house will be open at 8 if requiring a buggy.
