Ladies
Last Wednesday was the first day back for the girls and it was a scorcer!! Competition was a stableford for a club trophy and Captain Anne Brown returned the best score with 33 points. Runner-up was Kris Cook with 32 and she beat Jan Edwards on the count back. Others who braved the hot conditions were Margaret Kuhnemann and Ellen Meagher 30, Juleen Sippel 28, Jill Briant & Jo Mc Antee 27, Linda Hooke 26, Meryl Trees and Robyn Fitzpatrick also played and we welcomed Vicki Bird back after her broken wrist and she had a chip in!. Jo won the pin shot on 4/13 and Anne on 8/17. Our first meeting of the year will be held on Wednesday 14th March. Wednesday our sponsor is Boonah Florist and we thank Michelle for her support again this year. Next Wednesday Boonah Hair Design is our sponsor. We look forward to a successful year which is the 90th anniversary of Boonah Golf Club. Watch this space as there will be special events in the coming months. Good golfing.

Wednesday the sporters was sponsored by L Vandenbrink playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was R Stinson with 27 pts, runner up B King with 25 pts ocb from G Parker & M Weber. The ball run continued with M Maudsley, R Scells, D Forsyth, S Lutter, R Cuneo & J Handley with 24 pts. Pin Shots were received by B May on 13, J Browning received 17 while R Cuneo received 18. The Dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was won by R Fitzgerald. This week will be sponsored by J Gillett playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored by N Hooke playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.

Saturday we played a stableford/monthly mug competition, sponsored by N & L Hooke. The winner was J Freiberg ocb from runner up I Browning with 36 pts. The run down went to S Fahey & P Manitta 35 pts. G Miller 33 pts, W Maudsley & W Gnech 32 pts, D Forsyth & F Johnson 31 pts followed by K Sawtell, B Philp & S Francis 30 pts, G Eviston, J Nunan & N Toohey 29 pts and N Hooke, B May, P Francis & G Parker 28 pts. The ladies winner was J Pfingst with 28 pts, runner up J McAntee 24 pts. L Hooke had 26 pts. Sunday
Sunday the Chook Run winner was T Spiller with 22 pts. Chook run is open to anyone at anytime on Sundays for $5, though bookings are essential as we have social clubs playing in the mornings. We have the Rockla Social Club teeing off at 7 am this week using most of the buggies. If wanting a social round you may have to wait until they have finished their round. Ring the club for further details.
