Ladies
Our last trophy day of the year was hosted by a new member Vicki Bird so many thanks to Vicki and we look forward to having you back playing. Winner was Jan Baulch who had a great score of 40 points. Jo McAntee also played well for 37 to be runner-up. Other players were Meryl Tress 36, Linda Hooke 35, Anne Brown 32, Jan Edwards 31, Marg and Maureen 24. Jo won both pin shots and shared the loot with her playing partner Marg. The AGM was held after lunch and the new committee for 2018 is Maureen Maynard President, Kris Cook Vice President. Anne Brown Captain, Jan Edwards Vice Captain, Linda Edwards 2nd Vice Captain, Meryl Tress Treasurer. Jan Baulch will take on the role of Patroness. Today is a fun day of golf and next Wednesday we have our end of year luncheon when the yearly trophy winners will be announced.
Sporters
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by R Brooks & M Crowther playing a stroke & putting 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was A Featherstone ocb from runner up J McGrath with 47 net, followed by N Hooke, L Vandenbrink & R Cuneo with 49 net. Pin shots were received by A Stick on 13, A Featherstone received 17 while R Cuneo received 18. The Dugandan Dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was received by W Wieland & the best gross for the day was received by B May. The putting competition was won by N Hooke with 19 putts. This week will be the 1st round of the Championships sponsored by Dover & Sons playing a stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15. Next week will also be sponsored by Dover & Sons playing another stroke 0-18 + 1, 5 & 6 Competition for the 2nd round of the Championships. The best gross for the Championships is sponsored by W Gnech.
Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays had 20 players tee off playing a stableford front 9 competition. The winner was D May with 22 pts, runner up was N Hooke ocb from B May & K Sawtell with 21 pts. The run down continued with W Martin & M Hassan 20 pts, J Lynch, V Christensen & V Riley 19 pts, followed by L Hooke, R Brooks, R Eacott & K Reinholdsson 18 pts. The pin shot was received by M Hassan while P Cooper received the NAGA.
Saturday
Saturday was sponsored by Boonah Tyre Power playing a stableford/monthly mug competition. The winner and monthly mug winner was B Beasley with 42 pts, runner up K Sawtell ocb from B Perrem with 40 pts, followed by B Brown 38 pts, T Richardson & S Francis 37 pts, V Christensen & J Browning 36 pts and I Browning 35 pts. The run down went to M Dickson, N Toohey, G Balharry, K Eugarde & P Dadds 33 pts, M Sullivan & M Simpson 32 pts and P Manitta & C Perrem 30 pts. The ladies winner was Z Eviston with 32 pts, runner up M Kuhnemann ocb from J Pfingst with 29 pts followed by J McAntee 25 pts. Pin shots were received by I Browning & M Tress on 4/13, P Dadds & M Tress received 8/17 while B Beasley received 9/18. The Long Drives were received by B Beasley & M Tress. The Pro Pin on 4 is sponsored by Drummond Golf currently held by I Browning with 1.31m. The Pro Pin on 17 is sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery currently held by G Balharry with 1.01m.
