Ladies
On a very windy day last Wednesday 10 ladies braved the conditions. The sponsor was Sandy Lee Café and this was won by Linda Hooke with a commendable score of 28 points. Congratulations Linda and thanks to Sandy. Runner-up was Jill Pfingst 26, and other hardy souls who played were Meryl Tress, Jan Baulch, Linda Edwards, Jan Edwards, Anne Brown, Juleen Sippel Maureen Maynard and Jenny Briant. Linda also won the pin shot on 4/13 and Jill was in the hole for 2 on 8/17. It is Luraine Gurnett’s day today and the Mixed Foursomes Championships on Sunday. Thursday 3rd August is Open Day with visitors expected for surrounding clubs. Good golfing and may all your putts drop in!

Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by The Butchers Co playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15. The winner was R Brooks with 23 pts, runner up was N Hooke ocb from M Maudsley with 22 pts. Pin shots were received by A Stick on 4, K Kirgis received 8 while T Windy received 9. The Dugandan Dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was received by R Scells. This week will be sponsored by Arthur Hertweck & Gary Searle playing a 4 ball aggregate stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week will be sponsored by G Eviston as we play the Stan McCullough Memorial playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15.
Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays had 21 players tee off playing a stableford back 9 competition. The winner was B Brown with 23 pts ocb from runner up P King followed by R Eacott with 21 pts. The rundown went to D Ryan & J Handley 20 pts, R Brooks 19 pts followed by W Martin, K Sawtell, J Nunan & W Casey 18 pts. M Crowther received the pin shot while J Sippel received by NAGA. This Friday will be Big Money Day playing a stroke competition.

Saturday was sponsored by D Ryan & A Leary playing a stableford competition. The winner was J Shine with 40 pts, runner up was P Dadds with 39 pts. The rundown went to C Philp & G Parker 37 pts, J McGrath, D Ryan, G Philp, C Shannon, A Gill & T Weatherhead 36 pts followed by P King, R Brooks & R Humphrey 35 pts and M Simpson, C Perrem, J Yates & K Eugarde 34 pts. The ladies winner was J Pfingst ocb from runner up J Edwards with 31 pts. Pin shots were received by C Philp & J Pfingst on 4/13, B Gotke & D Wall received 8/17 while C Philp received 9/18.
