Monday the clubhouse was opened thanks to Steve & Linda. 40 players played a stableford competition on the day. The winner was A Stick ocb from runner up S Bailely with 40 pts, followed by N Hooke 39 pts, T Grimshaw & G Henderson 37 pts and I Browning, R Fitzgerald, I Henry, T Lynch & A Bennett 36 pts.
Ladies
We thank Di Kuhnemann for her sponsorship of last Wednesday’s stableford competition which was won by Jan Edwards with 34 points. A good score in the windy conditions. Runner-up was Linda Edwards on the countback from Marg Kuhnemann on 33 points. Other scores were Anne Brown 32, Maureen Maynard and Alison Leary 31, Jan Baulch 28, Meryl Tress 25, Jo McAntee 23, Juleen Sippel and Kayleen Turner 21 and Robyn Fitzpatrick won the “NAGA” with 20 points. These scores counted for the 3rd round of the Consistency Cup which is played over 10 rounds during the year. Jan Edwards won the pin shot on 4/13 and Marg on 8/17. Maureen had a chip in on the 18th hole. Today we play for Clair Wieland’s trophy and next week is the monthly medal day sponsored by The Vault, the second round of the WGQ brooch and 1st round of the International Bowl. The time sheets for the 4 rounds of the club championship are now out. Please check the conditions of play in the fixture book. Good golfing girls and may all your putts drop in!

Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by H Gwynne playing a stableford 10- 18 + 1, 5 & 6. The winner was B May with 27 pts, runner up L Vandenbrink ocb form R Fitzgerald & W Martin with 26 pts. The run down continued with M Hassan & G Lutter 25 pts and G Parker & R Brooks 24 pts. Pin shots were received by G Parker on 13, while B May received both 17 & 18. The Dugandan Dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was received by R Stinson. This week will be sponsored by J R Plant Hire playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15. Next week will be sponsored by E Newlove & M O’Reilly playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, count your putts as well.
Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays has 26 players tee off playing a stableford competition. The winner was D May with 24 pts, runner up C Shannon 23 pts followed by P King 22 pts. The rundown went to S Riley, R Brooks, J Handley, A Leary & D Ryan 21 pts, followed by K Reinholdsson & J Nunan 20 pts, L Hooke & L Edwards 19 pts and M Hassan, R Eacott, M Weber & V Riley 18 pts. The pinshot was received by M Fitzpatrick, while R Fitzpatrick received the Encouragement Award.
Saturday
Saturday we played the Boonah Lions Open Day playing a 4BBB stableford competition. Thanks to the Lions Members for putting on the day, all money raised was going to Carinity Brake the Cycle. The winners were M Weber & A Bennett with 48 pts ocb from runners up G Parker & R Brooks, followed by M O’Reilly & G Lutter 47 pts. The run down went to J Dover & W Hall, P King & R Eacott, J McGrath & J Handley and S Fahey & P Willett with 46 pts, followed by S Riley & R Fitzgerald 45 pts, R Cuneo & G Eviston and S Bailey & P Dadds 44 and A Hertweck & G Sellick, G Ball & J Baulch, V Riley & K Cook, W Gnech & D Mortimer and T Lynch & J Edwards 43 pts. Pin shots were on all holes and were received by G Parker on 1/10, R Cuneo received 2/11, W Maudlsey received 3/12 & 4/13, M Kuhnemann received the ladies 4/13, 5/14 was received by D Mortimer, T Grimshaw received both 6/15 & 9/18, C McLean received 7/16 while 8/17 was received by A Leary & C Wilson. We have a Social Club playing this week, teeing off at 7 am. You will be able to play after conclusion of play. Clubhouse will be open till 5 if wanting a game of golf. Ring the club for further details
