Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by James Dover from FIS Insurance Brokers playing a 2 ball Ambrose 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6. The winners were G Parker & R Cuneo ocb from runners up B May & S Edwards with 43½ . The run down went to J McGrath & J Handley 44 net, L Blunt & M Bell 44¾, M Sim & W Martin 46¾, S Fahey & M Weber 47 net, followed by W Maudsley & F Johnson, N Hooke & J Gillett and B Sampson & W Hall 47¼ and G Searle & M McGarrity 47¾. Friendly Fridays’ had 11 keen golfers tee off in the cold windy conditions, playing a stableford front 9 competiton. The winner was W Martin with 21 pts, runner up R Fitzgerald with 18 pts ocb. Saturday
Saturday was sponsored by P Manitta, D Mortimer, A Smith & S Synott playing a 2 person Ambrose competition. The winners were D Forsyth & J Gillett with 61 net, runners up were A Gill & K Dover with 61½, followed by W Maudsley & F Johnson 62¾. The rundown went to C Perrem & J Comp 64½, P McNiven & D Williams 65¾, J Browning & B May and J McGrath & J Handley 66 net, A Hertweck & R Eacott 66¼, T Grimshaw & P Scroggie 67 net, followed by T Weatherhead & Z Eviston and D Wall & K Turner 67¾, and V Riley & K Cook, A & R Featherstone and A & B Brown 68¼ . Pin shots were on all holes and received by J Browning on 1/10, C Perrem on 2/11, K Dover received 3/12, D Bond recieved 4/13,F Johnson received both 5/14 & equaled 6/15 with an eagle with P. Scroggie, J Comp received 7/16, A Gill received 8/17, while S Fahey received 9/18. The Pro Pin on no 4 is sponsored by Drummond Golf and current held by J Baulch with 2.7m.
